Lately been having extreme success at Hero poker ,while Carbon been awful.....Just a lucky run or has anyone else experienced the same?
Carbon was the first merge skin, I downloaded and have had limited successes, therefore I don't play there often. But, I have reasonable success on Lock, Hero, Feltstars, given my beginner status with poker. Just my two cents...
I thought this post was about the differences in merge site not how well you played in each.
theres no difference at all
i too would recommend hero for the newer players, and anyone looking to build a roll through freerolls. they also have 3 low limit tournaments only found on hero, the .33 micro NL, PLO, and HORSE. they usually have some good quality play (compared to other micros). The only real differences in the skins is the look, the VIP system, and i've noticed the player admin's are different. Can't forget that building a br on freerolls also has potential via the PO Freerolls.
well Carbon poker has been good to me in the last two years playing poker there.
hero poker is great if your starting with $0 and want to build a bankroll
its pretty easy to do there
apart from that ....theres really no diff from any of the mearge skins
i will stick to carbon only inspite of losing my previous $20 earnings im back to arnd $ 4 now will try to build back my balance now.
most skins are about the same
but hero is the easiest to get a good bankroll going
carbon and pdc have been good but the vip progra change discouraged me after playing so long lost all those benefits
I usually hover around $5 - $10 on Carbon. When I hit a certain level, my BR starts to backslide and I win some of it back later on.
I can't explain how I can possibly get into a bad run playing the $1 50/50's. They are usually so easy to win, but it has happened to me.
I'm starting to like Lock poker a lot. The Vault is pretty awesome for stashing money and the Sharkscope is really handy when trying to find info on another player. I don't think the other merge site has these tools
Whats the vault system? Like can you put it away for a certain amount of time? or how does it work?
its all about preference on the skins, if you feel you run better on one over another stick with that...also be sure to play the one in which you have rakeback
some are prettier thats the only real difference ive noticed
One if not the only difference is private games, for example carbon has pokerowned freerolls, and lock doesn't.
love carbon but never have played at hero gonna try it out
if you don't have vip, and you have a grandfathered rb account, i think you should play the rb account. i have a rb account on lock, so i might start playing on there instead of carbon and other skins just to get a little rb money. i'm not the biggest fan of lock, but I heard there cashouts take 3 weeks now, which might be better than any merge skin.
some of the other skins claim 2-3 weeks as well, its all talk until I see that check in my hand though
there all the same people playing, its just diffrnet looking tables....all the same to me.
carbon is goo, i used to play lock also b.c it was easy to deposit on there, but i left that site, might check back to it...but carbon is good for now
Carbon is the only merge skin I use so far, but I am planning to try Hero.
The skins dont vary that much, besides of color
@twinkies : i hear a lot of good things about hero. i guess they ggo 27 man freeroll sit n gos. you cant beat that
Going To Try Lock Soon.
There really is no difference in merge skins except that Hero has more freerolls.
I like Hero also. Lot of nice freerolls.
Does Hero accept US players? Read somewhere that it stopped accepting us players in may 2011, idk if that has changed since then
I don't see much difference from site to site besides a few promotions and free rolls. My leats favorite site pre-black Friday and now my only choice.
cannot get on hero poker for 2 days now cuz they are not accepting new york players
Yeah, if you're from New York and you try to open a new account at any Merge site, you won't be able to play. Sucks!
Oh and BTW, PDC was the first Merge site, not Carbon. Carbon was the first copy. Also, I think some of the sites have the "Dollar Dazzlers" and some don't.
have a skins want you play on real money... or win a tournement ...
All of the card outcomes are the same for merge skins , but some other things are different , like freerolls and vip programs.
Hero poker has a lot more freerolls.
