It is actually more than that, even ppl with accounts as of today will now be on Juicy Stakes Poker, Cake is no longer servicing US players.

My guess is that Lock taking over the network took the majority of American players away from the Cake skin. This feels like strictly a business decision, given the hoops these sites have to jump through to give Americans deposit/withdrawal options.

I don't care for the software, but it was no choren to get switched to Juicy Stakes.....From Cake

Isn't cake on the same network as Lock? Should players on Lock be worried as well?

Yeah got the same email. I hadn't played on cake in a couple years though. The only site I play on that's on that network is Intertops anyway.

And yhat isn't all. If you have Norton for an anti-virus it won't let you download Juicy. States that there is a moderate virus attached. WTF?

Yeah I downloaded it just to see If I could log onto my old cake acct and my norton killed it lol.

Norton does the same thing to Bovada. You have to exclude them.

Lock is where most American players are playing, so I don't see any reason for concern.

This is just a way for Revolution to allocate their resources better.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Earlier this year a skin on Merge, Nordic Poker, shut down. All player accounts were transferred to Carbon.

I would be much more upset if Cake simply stopped allowing US players.

They aren't booting you specifically, they no longer serve anyone in your region. Sounds like lots of people got the boot, including myself.

what a read, I downloaded Cake a while back then I did away with it about e week into it. I haven't received any e-mail.

cake sucks dont play there plain and simple lol....I hate them they banned me.

I just got the same email, doesn't matter to me though cake poker fuckin sucked anyway.:D

Well I had only like a $1 left on Cake...so I suppose I'm not too worried about being scammed. I actually liked Cake software so I will miss it. Plus it was like the only place that would take one of my Visa's for deposit. Oh well.

So I'm playing on Lock this AM. Screw Cake and where they think I should play now. lol

Governments are stepping in more and more in seems. Tough luck.
