Yes, I have a few referrals and received some points off their journey here....it works
I sent invites to all my facebook friends... more than 1000.... I've gotten emails stating that a few have signed up... guess what? no points and no way to apply for them... same with flixter... that I signed up of the wall.... who knows?

I think on homepage of PO, go to refer friends banner, click on it and scroll down. It will display who you referred and if they earned you anything. I have one so far, but has'nt earned anything, lol.
