You have to make two posts to be able to get in chat.
Go back to the home page. You should be able to use the chat now. If not, refresh the page until you see a box with the words "Enter Chat"
I thought it was one? My bad. Been quite a while ago . . .
click notifications above, and scroll down to where you see general settings on the left, click that and make sure it is set to show.
