I DOWNLOADED A GAME TO GET POINTS AND THIS STUPID TOOLBAR CAME WITH IT.. I DELETED THE GAMEWRANGLER GAME BUT THE TOOLBAR STAYED.. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW I CAN GET RID OF IT?
I HAVE GOOGLE CHROME
ITS NOT ON THE LIST IN ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS
I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD A TOOLBAR REMOVER-FAIL
I EVEN TRIED TO DOWNLOAD A GAMEWRANGLER GAME TO TRY AND UNINSTALL IT AGAIN

uninstall always worked for me. try uninstalling and reinstalling chrome i guess.
i also use chrome ... and can never figure out how to manage bookmarks or toolbars ... i guess its just faster than mozilla
If its google chrome try clicking on the wrench thing beside where you type in website address. Go to tools then extensions. It might be there.
Yes, I have Google Chrome too and it happened to me but I don't remember what I did.
I bet Bob Dole knows how to fix it...
just my 2 cents.... I rarely download a game. ect... but if I do, I am very careful to do a "custom" download
and uncheck all those happy little free extras they try to slip in
Try start>Run> and type msconfig. Click the startup tab at the top and uncheck it from the list. Apply and reboot
ccleaner is a pretty good util for removing things
I was just gonna suggest this. CCleaner is the download you want for a job like this. I run it once a month anyways at least, so its nice to have around on the hard drive.Quote:

for mozilla (this should work): go to tools at top of page, click "add-ons" from drop down menu... new page opens... click "extensions" and your toolbars should be listed there... click uninstall or disable (all the way to the right) and you should be good :D

Use Sandboxie and system restore to an earlier point
System restore is the best bet. Those downloads hide themselves really well.
Click on the wrench in the upper right, then click on tools, then click on extensions. The toolbar you downloaded and any other downloads should show there. Click on the toolbar you don't like and delete it.
use a good uninstaller program to make sure its goe,, u got some good advice here tho and GL:) is why i dont do any dwnlaoads at all anymore tho..
u should be able to uninstall it thru the control panel under add/remove programs on your computer.
wipe your system.thats what i had to do.also,macafee wont let you get that far.

i figured it out, it was under the wrench, then extensions, then you can disable and uninstall the toolbars...

i learned my lesson the hard way about downloading games, stupid tool bars, i went back and restored my comp to b4 i had them
easy for me just go to uninstall section click and delete
