Other countries don't seem to care about online poker. Their government is letting them play poker without any harrassment of online poker ban and laws. Why is the US the only country wanting to ban online poker. I think because their selfish and greedy.
No because you see lots of people in poverty. they dont want the people to go in debt or lose their family and house over gambling.

Until poker sites can guarantee that no US citizens that play there can dodge paying taxes on their winnings those sites will not be allowed to accept US players.
The govt. could care less about Joe six pack going broke. It's all about the money they might be missing out on.

Oh really, yet we have lotto and scratch offs which mainly attracts low income people who have a dream of buying $50 worth of lotto tickets every week and becoming millionaires over night. If they were really concerned about people gambling then they would do away with any form of it. It's hard for me to understand the logic behind why some things are OK and others are not. Just because they are trying to control it doesn't mean people are not going to do it. Look at all of us on this site.:confused:
probably a huge concern for the ill and children. also those who are not all there, trying to protect them from scams.
I think if a poker co is very legit, has all licenses which have to come from whatever, they would be accepted. there is no site as such, and I know places like swc that run a client like such will never have that license.
I want my poker back in USA, these little sites isnt the same as grinding 20+ tables for 8 hours a day on Pokerstars :(

I believe it's a control thing I won 29K on TITAN poker in 2006 and they game me all of my money tax free . if they can regulate poker by telling you what sites you can play with online I believe that they their hand in it somewhere. notice how after the ban a lot of site mergings went on. all the while they were threatening a complete ban but some site were still taking American accounts . it's to have everyone playing where they want you to. wish it would go back to the good old days. when you could play where you wanted. isn't it finny how all the cheating scandals started springing up against the sites they were basically forcing you to play at after the ban ????
