Just read that the govener of the state (Quinn) will surely veto the new casinos that want to build near me. Just my luck too lol.
Along with about three or four more in the state.

I lived in Champaign/Urbana IL for a few years. We went up to Peoria to play blackjack on the boats. Had fun.
we have atlantic city abd aqueduct new casino
they are getting reay to build a new casino here in st louis too. i read it in the newspaper, they were talking about where to build it. i hope not, we have enough already.
beent the ion
Lucky up in the Big Ill to have a casino right next to you. I gotta hike to make the nearest one.
@ritehere: Quinn is an idiot! IL. has not a good governor since Edgar. My hometown is in Illinois 30 miles from the Capital! Land of Lincoln :) We used to go up and watch the house sessions when I was kid, when they got chit done. Now they can't even figure out payroll:( It is a sad state of affair! (Pun intended)@ARY: I am stoked about the possibility of another. Ameristar and Harrahs are becoming dated! @Paisleysky: Par-A-Dice:) Right on! Some of the best Korean Food I have ever had is in Champaign/Urbana(A-RI-Rang's) We make multiple trips a year, primarily for A Ri Rang's food and maybe catch a game or two! Assembly Hall:) Ba Bim Bop and Bulgogi...MMMMMM.....
Harrahs here in st louis has just sold out to the alton bell casino owners. they said the sale was for 60 billion dollars. Damn im in the wrong business.
Yeah Peoria's boat is coll I'll give ya that. But hell they only have 26 total tables to play cards at, and that's divided up between all the card games. I believe it was only 4 tables that were committed to holdem and the rest was crap like omaha, carribean stud, three card, etc.
That is why I was crossing my fingers for a real casino to be put in place.
And Paisley I am from around the Champaign/Urbana area as well. And StackSnack you are right with Quinn, he really has his head up his a**.
I congratulate you follow posting this man so you will reach many sides luck :)
but what if the person ends up not being able to make the game
Not sure what these legislators are worried about. People without choices to do with there time doesn't sound like a lot of freedom. To pay taxes then have those activities not available and are to the majority across the country is hypocritical for those representing their constituents.
hahaha i have a lot of casinos where i live we need to take some down so more people will start going to one

Theres a river boat "Paridise" owned by Boyd Gaming docked across the river from me - I haven't been on it for 3 years now because Illinois banned smoking in all public places including the gamming River Boats!! This law has saved me a TON of Cash!!!
