BREAKING NEWS: Full Tilt Poker’s Operating Licence Suspended

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has suspended the licences for Full Tilt Poker. All games are paused, cashouts not possible.

The AGCC said in a statement this morning:

"The decision to suspend these licenses follows a special investigation prompted by the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General’s Office in the Southern District of New York on 15th April 2011, during which grounds were found to indicate that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to Alderney legislation."

Currently it's not clear whether this is a "suspension" or whether their licence will be revoked. We assume, however, that Full Tilt Poker will apply for a new license in a different jurisdiction.

We will keep you updated with all the details as and when they come in.

It seems that all Full Tilt Poker servers have been taken down currently and on fulltiltpoker.com appears the message "scheduled maintenance".

Yeah it seem like the server is down can't connect it doesn't matter my account is screwed anyway.

Pokerstars will probably have their license suspended too. They are in just as much deep shit as Full Tilt Poker. I would take money off of any internet poker site right now. Why risk it. One day they are running fine...then next SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING!

LOL, this shit is funny. Not b/c I don't have money on FTP also, but, because you guys are so biased one way. But, I do agree about bleepin time someone did something to FTP. LMAO. Ba Bye $2000. PokerStars will not get shut down. They are now running legal EU nations, and will continue to do so. Hope a USA site can get up soon.

I think they will get a new license as well but, one, anyone who will license them is crap, and anyone fool enough to still play w/ them is just a fool. Think, AP/UB where your money is concerned.

pokerstars is just better with customer support and cashing out your money .... full tilts software in my opinion is much much better ... or not necessarly the software just being on their site i like much better for some reason.

Full Tilt has a bunch of problems even before USA got shut down there. Now they're completely shutting down.

Stars kept the players money in segregated accounts Tilt did not. Stars has paid back US players, Tilt has not. They are not in the same boat at all.

Sounds like FullTilt is busted... How can any player trust them again, bye bye to my funds there
