How irresponsible are u with poker?

well last night I went to my new home game that starts at 9 PM. I vowed to leave by midnight so I could get six hours sleep before work. I ended up leaving at 6:30 am and went home and showered and was at work by 7:30. I swear I played for almost ten hours and I could play for 20 more. It was so fun. I lost 45 bucks, but was done almost 4 bills at one point.

I had rockets 7 times and had em cracked 5. I didnt have kings, queens, or tens once in that same time period. I lost a 700 pot with aces to a guy with 2 3 off. I was bad beated the same way online.

I love it and Im now addicted to live play. Im going to sleep now, its 4:30 pm and Im going back to live game tomorrow night. I swear Ill be out by 1 am this time :)

I remember when I use to be able to do 24hr+. Yes these times are good. But, really you have to ask yourself. R u really playing your best poker after 6,8,12, 24 hrs? If you answer is no after after whatever time. It time to stop playing. There's always more action another day. GL all.

haha I hear ya cookie. I keep making excuses to keep playing. I think cause I just got back to live. I really got to make better choices as my work will decline and i will get shit-canned for sure eventually. 4 hour nap was great. Im going eat and go back to sleep to get 9 more hours to hopefully catch up on the missed sleep. Days like this I love being single :).

See aces get cracked live too, not just on-line. It happens, it's poker. Yeah, in my younger days I could do an all night poker session and make it to work just fine, not so much anymore.

Sometimes i get drunk and i lose.

If I add up ALL the redemptions I've received on Carbon and then compare them to my current bankroll on Carbon......well........let's just say I don't wanna talk about it!!

Becareful since they might have let you win back your earnings on purpose so they can routinely steal $50 from you... Doesn't sound like much but if you have 2-3 plrs who yield constant downgrades, then it get's to be a big deal.

haha Eqg I go through big swings so 50 is a drop in the bucket. At this game 5 bills to a K win or lose is possible in a night. So far in two sessions and Ive seen 20 players so my file/notes are building that it would even make the notemaster drywall be proud. Its very tight game and is very interesting. Its 90% Taiwanese players and they play be the math mostly so its a tight game where reraises mean something. I have learned a lot and have suffered some bad beats in the two sessions that Im like 75 up but two hands make the difference of being 1200 up. Since Im more of a live player Ive always argued that beats happen just as frequent live then online but less noticeable because of less hands. What Ive experienced and what others have been beat at the table Im for sure convinced live play mimics the beats as online.

I for sure got to be careful about not sleeping before work. I have a lot of professional responsibilities and Im on contract and Im within a few weeks of earning a year extension till June of 2013. BUT Its 4:30 and Im taking a 4 hour nap and Im hitting the new Wed. night game they are spreading. :):):)

hahah sometimes I think I know, but I dont :)....anyway nap is done and I need to gas up the motorcycle and head to the South side of town.

Goal is to play super tight and grind up and bail at 12:30 am to get some sleep. I really like this game as its very friendly and I learn something about my foes every time and I look forward to growing my game.

Man pulled another all nighter. It was great. Same players with a few new maniacs in the mix. I started off bad and had to rebuy a few times. I was stuck about 700 the whole night and I hit a magical hand around 5 am. Had 8 5 of diamonds in BB and was able to limp. Flop came 8S 6D 4D ...guy bet out and went for the ride. Another guy joined. 7 C on turn gave me the straight with the flush draw. The guy pushes but he was on mega-tilt after suffering 2 back to back beats. The nuts was the 5 - 9 but discounted that due to his tilt. He pushes 3 bills or so and I had him covered. He flips over 10 5 for a tie staight....the river came the ace of diamonds giving me a 800 pot and a few hundie profit for the night. I sealed up tight and walked out ahead when I was stuck for almost 7 hours. I love this game as the information on the regulars is piling up and Im starting to see alot of trends. Im hitting the hay for 14 hours of sleep and get to play tomorrow night with no work the next day. A new girl player joined the game and she is by far the best player Ive seen. I cant say their names so I make nickname up and she is the black widow.

haha glgl mrleyyyy and dont lose the moeny ur makin at ur day job a t nite. soundsl ike ur not so far tho,,:) hope it goes goood and keep the story g oinnn.is fun to hear bout, guess ur gonna be therer for quite a while now then:( miss u herre tho tooo

ok here is recap of my backroom game.

Session one - Up 120 6 hours
Session two - up 50 9 hours
Session three - Up 130 9.5 hours
Session four - Up 150 6 hours

total - Up 450 30.5 hours 14.75 per hour profit

I also would say i've lost 4 huge hands on the river almost 2k, i have caught two hand of about a grand myself on the river.
If can survive more of these hand my rates will skyrocket.

I would say the level of play is average, but since the table is so tight with a few hyper aggressive players mixed in (including me) that bluffing is critical as most players will lay down winners. I see huge room for improvements for my game.

I will admit the time of the game is horrible and I'm being extremely irresponsible. I have to cut down on my times and maybe play on fridays only as i can sleep in. i see that I love to play for longer stretches and sitting for three hours is not good enough as i go home wired and cant fall asleep after.

I think there is a sitngo tonight as they do that once awhile...tomorrow is a taiwanese holiday so it would perfect :)

hahah I need to drop 15 pounds so whatever works...yeah man i feel like a total degen, its bad, im worried about it. but its sunday and im going into work to catch up and work ahead so that im ready for no sleep on Wed.

well maybe just a little but i enjoy the game

when i take bad beats i hit the pit for blackjack which is a very bad move

i get irresponsible when I lose at cash games. i always want to earn back the sum i lost but i don't do that all the time. 2-3 times i was so irresponsible that I lost all my bankroll just because i was pissed. the lesson is stay calm, no matter what :)

fukkkkkkkk lost a 1500 pot with pct queens against pct jacks, he flopped it. Then when on tilt and lost my live roll. So after being up like 600 after two weeks Im down now. I hate pokeerrrrr....probably better to hang it up as its taking to much time and Im going to Cambodia/Thailand for xmas.......but im a degen so Ill be back in a few weeks.
