how bad are some of you?

lets keep in mind im not talking about myself here. i know im a moron. i lose my $$$ in the bcp casino every week. if id stay away from there id be fine and have a decent BR to play a few games daily. go look at the market n check the stake threads. i dont lose a ton for stakers.

now on to the point. pokerowned has a few decent players around but every single one of them is a degen player. ive watched ppl win 30-120$ in a given night and 2 days later theyre broke???? how do you do that unless youre in the casino like me, or losing sportsbetting for ridiculous amounts. if you are just playing poker day after day then you need to seriously consider quitting the game.

with bcp having a ton ofr 3 hour late reg tourneys a person should be in 1-3 games a day on a normal basis, if theyre any good, because theyll be going deep in the tourney or tourneys theyre playing. if you lose 80-100 a day on tourneys only and min cash 1 you are not doing very well.

idk i guess im just wondering how a see ppl winning here n there n 2 days later theyve gone broke and are looking for stakes.

I just play poker and don't sports bet and try like hell to not play out of my roll and I'm doing ok. Nothing great but I'm happy.

I agree with you, there are a lot of degens here that do bink a nice win and then are broke the next day. On the other hand there are also a lot of people with solid rolls on here who are able to maintain them.

I am sure the guys here are no where near as bad a degen as some on the live tourny circuit. On several occassions I have seen people win in excess of $30K, then by the next day, no longer have enough for the next days buyin. Some end up making themselves give the money won to others (for holding), and make them promise not to give it to them no matter how hard they ask for it back. The saddest was when this guy who struggled for the longest time, always having to beg for buyins, food, lodging, won over 30K, and he lost it all in 1 fucking night of debauchery.

I'm good outside of sports betting. I always like to go for the longshot parlays and the big win. I'm a winning poker player and I'm pretty decent on round robin parlays in sports betting, yet I tend to go outside my bankroll often.

a few degens here but not as many as you guys are thinking..i mean if a guy wins 20 bucks and loose it, so what just start all over, but if a guy wins 20 and then come in chat and constant beg to loose another 20 or 100 or so and continue the cycle..then maybe he has a serious problem..

if a person is extremely passionate and wants to get very good at playing poker then why should that person consider quitting the game if they play every single day? i don't quite follow you on that statement.

fwiw, i know for a fact that not literally everyone on PO is broke. for example, johnny deep stacks is killing it and atm it looks like he has a $200 BR.

Your game isn't nearly as good as you think it is. I can think of players like Jay,DL12, myself, Creds, Pray4Spades, WEC, JDS, and a few other that I would stake over you. There are 3-5 players in the PO Carbon FRs who are more +ev in games than you. Your game theory is awful man. I wouldn't be so harsh, but it really is clear in your OP that your JELLY because Poke is staking Jay/DK12/ and myself and not you. Bro I have made almost $70 in 10 days alone off Carbon PO FRs. Why more people including you aren't playing these games is beyond me. Even if for nothing else that WD'ing the $$$ to Depo on another site you prefer more. Trust me Tommy its not the casino thats your only leak. I wouldn't have said anything, but you really rub me the wrong way quite often. There are easily 10 players on PO that are better than you Tommy, so get over yourself.

hey im not saying there are no good players here. i agre with sickread on a few things. dk12 jayyy creds and nab can all play good poker. i dont think other players are as good as they think. SICKREAD being number 1 on that list but he knows the game.

This is my 1 cent, there is maybe a handful of players who can make a living grinding free rolls and taking their winnings and buy into $$ games and stay in the positive.

For the most part here at PO there it is 85% degens whether it be Poker, Sports Betting, Client, Casino's or any other form of gambling.

This is why we are seeing more and more " I messed up and sorry for screwing _______ over and will try and re pay my debt" threads.

I wouldn't say I am killing it but I am doing well for joining in Oct. 2013 Zero to $200 is fine by me.

Even good players can have major down swings. Look at Sickread's hand history from yesterday. Doesn't matter how good you are when that shyt happens. I think all you did hear Tommy is open a wide range of opinion and thoughts on a subject that is relevent in the forum. People are just responding to it in their own way in how they understand it. Actually think that it was a great Thread to get people thinking and talking about their game. :)

Well this is a BR building site last time I checked. So what exactly are you expecting? Winning players? Your not a winning player, and who cares if a bunch of people here play poker and lose. You come across as a dick head telling people they should quit playing poker if they play day after day and lose. And LOL you weren't referencing the whole POKE staking operation thats clearly in the market. Sure, thats believable. What pray tell were you referencing in the market that had you so worked up you felt the need to create a thread? FWIW, 90% of the stakes in market, including stakes that you have given or received are -ev for the backer. 50-50 deals with SB are a joke. The mere fact that most of you guys do these just goes to show how little you really understand the game. Tommy you're a nice guy for the most part, so I wont proceed to poke fun, but get real. I mean you talk about how you should have folded AK OTB when you opened a 20BB stack and the BB raised, or you calling 15% of your stack after an UTG limp and a raise. The limper is going to call and you sandwiched in between the limper and the raiser, which a stack thats super shallow relative to the bloated pot. Then in the next breathe, your asking for stakes into HI5 mtts, including a $33 and $60 mtt. You would get eaten alive bro. In all seriousness though, I think even on BCP your -ev over a $5 BI.

Most the players here can hold their own with the cards, but have problems ( so do I , but im working on it ) with BR management... Anyone can look me up and see that I made 1k winnings in last 120 days... does that mean I have been doing good ? HELL NO ! defenitely not, since it cost me 2000$ to win that 1k... And I managed to go bust by not managing my BR properly, and joining into 55$ and 109$ tournaments while on tilt.

Anyone can make a decent BR by being careful and not overspending into tournaments. You have 10$, play at the 0.10$ Buy-in.. .you have 100, play at the 1.10$ buy-in...

All it takes is discipline, luck, and concentration.

As for JohnnyDeepStacks, he is just the typical american :P when it comes to anything else than turning left, or throwing an egg shaped ball, he is clueless :P lmfao ( Love you bro ! )

i had generate over 12k on carbon thru freerolls, client and just running up dollars on cash tables..my stats are horrible, very horrible, but stats can be misleading i never cash out of carbon with a check once, so i might be the biggest degen of po or i might be the smartest..hmm..maybe my 2 plus 2 trading thread might have a say in this too..
