beeps before tournys

My computer is on all day, without it being restarted. I constantly change audio settings from HDMI to headphones or to aux because of my multi screen setup. Now when I do this, I believe the beeps that go off before a tourny starts, doesn't go off for me after I change my audio settings Once prior to starting my computer with headphone as default. is this only me or do others sometimes not get the beeps for no apparent reason or similar?
I just missed a tourny again because of no beeps and I wasn't paying attention to time after my bad beat in the carbon po fr that happend 2min prior to pw release.
