Figure this out.
You saw a shirt for $97
You didn't have cash so you borrowed $50 from your mom and $50 from your dad
$50 + $50 = $100
You buy the shirt and have $3 left over.
You give your parents each $1 and you kept the other $1 for yourself
Now, you owe your parents each $49
$49 + $49 = 98 + $1 you kept = $99
Where's the missing $1??

Well do you know where the $1 went? I can't figure it out and am very curious to know.
not supposed to add up to 100, you owe parents 49 + 49 = 98 + 2 you already paid = 100. Just a trick on words, sounds confusing because of numbers used, change it to 80 dollar shirt, give parent dollar each, now you owe them 49 +49=98 and have 18 left. those numbers aren't suppose to equal 100.
