I agree with others that it generates rake. However, I think it also is set to reward stupid play. If you have a site where a few sharks eat all the fish. The fish would not come back. I think it sets up players to lose and win at a fairly consistent level. That way it keeps both the sharks and fish paying to play. Nobody ever cashes out.
never hear good players complain about anything being rigged, always the whiney lil bitches lol
I agree with lost2qandisa...................................... .....
nobody except losing players complain about it being "rigged". Any player who tracks their hand history will see that the statistics always stay the same and even out. Not to mention, humans are hardwired to remember negative emotion over positive ones (according to the APS it takes 5 good memories to every one bad memory to even out emotional response). This is an evolved response because negative responses can result in death and we are learned creatures. So when people scream "rigged" I usually just forward them to a poker strategy website so they can learn how to play their hands properly.
Only people that lose complain about it being rigged I will admit tho ub was rigged but it basically means people think the site is cheating
i compain to live support when i bad beat someone.....
I do think online has preset hands like merge does how does the underdog win 75% of the time ?????
Not particularly rigged. If they have a comp. program that can tell when I'm online as see to it that I lose to a comp. bot, that's cool I guess, but it's gonna be for 2-3$ an hour since I don't find poker as a way to make money. I use sports betting.
Well if you think it is rigged why are you playing
rigged means that no matter what you are destined to lose. it means that the normal therories of mathematecal probabilty is not correct in determining the odds of success.
What kills me is what does it say about me if I continue to play on a site that I'm convinced is 'rigged'?
Yea, for those who think it's "rigged" and think its set up for underdog hands and bad players to win the majority of the time, purposely bet when you're behind and get your money in bad for a few sessions. Tell us how it goes. Hell even post some hand history for proof. Good luck out there (you're gonna need it)!!!
:( grrrrrrr
billions of hands have been played in online poker, why are we surprised about crazy beats? fwiw in the 2007 ME eastgate binked a 1 outer on the river in the FT to bust this guy is live poker rigged?
All poker has odds, if you cant afford to lose a buyin you shouldn't play... and I mean that from a bankroll perspective
Monster hands against each other or monster hands v suckouts creates more rake. Meaning more money for the company. I don't believe any poker site would do it because if people had "concrete" evidence they would be doomed. That being said when I run bad I bitch about it.
My thing is, if you leave hands to be random (like live poker), you are going to see some suckouts and some AA vs. KK. You don't have to do anything to the software but leave it on random for this to happen. Someone's gonna play that 4-5 off suit and flop the straight vs. AA. It's hard for me to believe the majority of people complain about online beats play much live poker. I play live $1/2 an $2/5 ALL THE TIME. I see suckouts/bad beats happen EVERY SESSION. Of course I see it with less frequency because we get dealt ALOT less hands in an 8 hour session than I do multi-tabling for 2-3 hours online.
There are all sorts of reasons for people saying the old rigged deal. Most of them are just struggling to move forward in their own game and it's easy to blame the sites. I'll say that I can't always blame them, because poker can be a seriously frustrating game at times. People get wrapped up in bad beat scenarios that just seem to be impossible. Unfortunately unless you are 100% to win getting your chips in is a gamble. Perhaps you are a huge favorite, but 80/20 still loses. Them are the breaks!
I do believe that OLP is rigged to enduce betting and thus build the rake but I dont think it ever truly favors any one player. Why would it?
nope, not true at all. it means theyre crying and a whiney lil bitch, FAQ
Precisely feel that people who complain about being rigged were on wrong side of a bad beat. Think about number of hands being played here. Bound to be some horrific beats. However, does seem a little more often than normal odds would suggest with online poker
And i guess if i have to use the term normal odds then something may indeed be amiss. lol
ok poker is all random but what about some of the crazy shit in sports, like garbage 3's, garbage foul calls when game is decided lol
I don't understand how this can be true. I mean if they were really trying to rig the game, you would see a lot more ties. I mean if a player can stay in the game longer than they can give more to the site in rake. If they lose it all in one hand then there is nothing there from that player to rake.
rigged is the way people just deal with there beat only the people who get it in with the worst of it say
and has been said on every online poker site ever put out
Online poker is not rigged. Its not like the bible is a hoax. Or that politicians have our best interests in mind. Or like you can trust a stranger with your wallet. Its not like that at all
thus i conclude online poker is not rigged.
