So sick of this BS.... the SpeedyChips saga + GreedyBee.

So SpeedyTChips owed me $77 from before. A long time ago. Well, he sent me some $$$, and I gave him half BCP, and half was applied to his debt. Today he sent me more than he owed me, and told me to pay him the rest in BCP. I told him that I had sold all my BCP. He tells me not to send the excess back, and to find him some BCP. I found GreedyBee selling BCP, and got him a GDMP. He has made trades here before, and seemed trustworthy. I told Speedy I was getting him BCP. Now I have yet to hear from GreedyBee, even though he is online. WTF!!!!! I am so getting sick of PO in general. I can't win for losing here. I didn't want to be in a position to have to find some1 else poker funds, and now it seems Greedy scammed me/SpeedyChips. IDGAF what happens here tbh. I am so irate. The dude was just on earning 73 points on the ticker. I can post more, I am just going to log off tonight and deal with it tomorrow.

First off.. Who is GreedyBee and did you do any background on him?

I just did a background on him (GreedyBee) as the name sounded familiar. Turns out he has been here since August of this year, and has exactly ONE feedback... from ME for a 100 point loan he paid on time.

OK, I wanna weigh in on this if you wheeeeel.

I've been an active (meaning daily) member since March...in that time, I heard a lot about Sickread's past and that he'd run into some trouble and done some things that aren't on the level.

That being said, I've never seen him do one thing remotely close to a scam. Also, a scammer (and again, I dont label him that) getting scammed doesn't make it right.

I'm not defending scamming, but if you can never shed that label no matter what it seems shitty to me.

Yes..... he has no other IPs attached to his SN. I know he isn't a long time member here, but I have seen him make trades for poker funds here before. I seriously can't believe how Ul I am getting. TBH, I will catch heat for this possibly, but IP recognition may be flawed. I made another name on here to get to trial pay cause im banned from it cause i was naive and dumb when i first joined PO (ZAB:inquire if you want, I never did it, I will provide the log in name, etc, to prove i never did anything with the account) When i do a background check on my name DocHo11idaze it doesnt appear. Like i said, in case i get flamed, ZAB can verify I've never done anything with that account, whatsoever.

If you give me ideas on how to curb it, let me know.. I've done so many upgrades from marketplace, escrow, feedback, fraud check, background check..

only way you can cut it out for good is going to ban all trading with people getting bans if they are found to be doing trading

before any people jump on me im not saying he SHOULD do this im just saying that its the only way your gunna get rid, where there are traders there are scammers, and with the growing stupidity of members due to the member base itself increasing, its just gunna get worse

Sorry for any losses, but can't say you weren't forwarned. 'Scammers' for lack of a better word, are smooth talkers..you were one of those too, right? Everything starts out well, promises made, swear on a stack of bibles, my great aunt's grandmother's grave, give you my right arm, yadda yadda..in fact, they even pay you back on time with a little extra. Till that one day it happens, they decide they have done enough to help you and move on to the next innocent person, because they want more, and you have run out of patience with them. Speedy was fantastic at paying me back, till that 'one day' occurred. It bothers me people want to take advantage of ANYONE, not just me, regardless of their own history.

What I wish .....the ability to not have anyone make more than ONE account. Is there such a thing out there? That alone would curtail a lot of nonsense and maybe some of these children playing around with other's cash, will see this is how the world works...you borrow, you pay it back..not, borrow and skip town, because you will be found and the penalty is far greater than having been honest in the beginning.

I already referred to this earlier in the thread, but honest to god what has sickread done in terms of scams since March/April?

We let people back on the site who scam big time or write "Hey sorry for stealing 100 bucks I can pay you back in a month, but in the mean time still stake me", and they are PRAISED by people in the threads for "standing up and taking responisiblity" (even though they aren't, they are just alluding to it). Meanwhile, you can go clean for months but you can't shed the label. I don't get it, and more importantly IT DOESNT MAKE IT RIGHT FOR ANYONE TO GET SCAMMED REGARDLESS OF THEIR HISTORY - A SCAM IS A SCAM

Oh, and by the way, SpeedyTchips still owes me $13.50 from March, 2013. This is one of those cases, I don't care if it was fifty cents, I won't drop it, till it's paid (even then that would be questionable) So, Sickread..if you happen to get some money back from him, would you mind asking for a bit more to pay me back? That might be the only way I'll see it. Cheers! :)

I totally understand what you are saying..once a scammer, always a scammer? :) come on people, doesn't anyone remember hearing, 'honesty is the best policy'? Learn and understand what it means, for gods sake.

zab you make it a requirement to have a active cell phone,sure they can change it but it wil cost them atleast $15 to have the number changed,im sure most of the scammers are low lifes that cant afford a cellphone unless they stole it,even then they cant make monthly payments

These same kind of people will do the same things in real life also. Overdraw bank accounts to the max or credit cards and never pay it back.. Its sad you can go to jail for writing bad checks but not for overdrawing an account or credit card and not make payments on them. Online Poker seems to attract the worst people as far as that walk of life. A Degen is a degen is a degen!!!

Just a suggestion:

On the left side of each post we make is our Join Date, how many Posts we've made, and Money Won. Would it help/be possible to have screen-names registered on sites you plan to use for trades/loans listed as well, and by having them there means they have been verified by PO Admins? Further, any time a player has a history of ANY kind of impropriety with the funds of others, simply have a link/logo there as well. A kind of "badge of dishonor," if you will.

So with that info attached to their name, ppl with multiple accounts would also have to have multiple accounts on the poker sites they use as well (sure, it happens) or risk exposing the fact that they are trying to use another name here. Additionally, people considering entering any transactions with them could instantly link to any threads covering any past issues. There could be "badges" for not re-paying loans, for past multi-account activity, for not returning stakes, and perhaps some way to distinguish if the issue was resolved.

While I agree that the type of person who is careless with others funds is more likely to repeat such behavior, there should be ways to clear your name, so to speak, but not to erase your history altogether. Some kids learn respect, others just learn new ways to disrespect.

First things first, quit letting known scamming shitballs like SpeedyChips back on the friggin site. You should know by now from running this site that scamming low-lifes do not ever change (well 99.99% don't). I have long experience in observing scammers on other poker sites, they are bad news, they will just find a way to fuck you in the end if you keep letting them return. Much like your no tolerance policy for drama in chat, you badly need a no tolerance policy for thieving bastards.

Anyway, maybe get the broom out and look for those guys that have huge amount of late loans, and/or any type of shady trade on here (or anywhere else) and just start sweeping them off this site.
