I think when we have a really bad day, we should take a rest from poker for a day or two. It's always better to cool down otherwise you might want to recover the money lost yesterday.

Play at lower stakes for awhile. That's what I do after a bad day at the tables.

Take a deep breath, review the hand histories for that game. That usually helps me reflect on my overall game performance. It also helps me get a more concrete description of the way I've played each hand. Remember, a hand won isn't necessarily a hand well played. Take notes on players, the weak & poor ones will eventually pay you off in the long run.
