What cards can be raised at the preflop?
always be necessary to make a Tribet because that allows players to not come hand in hand with cards that are not to our liking, and go for dirty tricks.
I try not to ever raise preflop it really depends on how many players are in and what type of players your playing against.
lol any two cards can be raised with preflop, lots of donkeys in the poker world
I would raise with high pockets or suited connectors mostly
but then again, its always good to limp in with good cards and be sneaky, hence he name Timmys Trap Poker Lol
A lot of players are raising every hand. As far as their cards, it literally could be anything.
3better is not the preflop raiser. 3bet = the person who re-raises the original raiser. basically it goes like this:
big blind is the 1st better, whoever raises is the 2nd better, and the 3rd better would be the person that reraises the 2nd better.
as for what hands should be opened pre, it depends on what ur playing (mtts, stts, sngs, $$ game, etc). if ur playing a regular MTT with 15 min lvls here's a general opening range
UTG+1 - 6s+, ATs+, KQs+, AJo+
UTG+2 - ^ same thing
MP1 - ^ same thing
MP2 - ^same thing except probably include 5s and some high suited connectors like 78s+
MP3 - 22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, 109s, 98s, 78s, 76s, ATo+, KQo
CO - ^ same thing
BTN - ^ same thing except prolly add unsuited connectors and suited 1-2 gappers.
opening sb/bb is very rare cause for that to happen you would need 7 ppl to fold pre. raising blind vs blind is def different because it's pretty much a leveling war vs ur opponent (unless he's a straight forward player/bad/etc).
doesn't work all the time?
PO freerolls mostly have a very tight raise pre flop. If you see a someone raising in these games watch out! He probably has a premium hand. Unless you have seen him showdown junk before.
hahah hell yea aint that the truth
The 3 bet is out. In da freerolls its a 6 bet to minimize the callers to only 8 rather then the usual 9 players.
Well here lately the way Ive been running no raise is safe lol
I like to raise any two cards
pre flop raising is a part of poker lol, what do u mean what do we think about raising preflop?
now if u have someone raising preflop with bullshit cards and gets lucky, that's a whole different story
donkeys all around the poker world, im sure theyre everywhere
and what I think about donkeys isn't appropriate for me to say what I think about them
You know paragraphs are allowed right?
depends on position, blinds, and payout structure.....
raising is an art form, and unfortunatel it's done in crayon in freerolls. Your raise size and holding should depend on three things, position, your table image, and the table image of the people left behind you (or that limp in front). That simple. If the guy to your left calls any raise preflop, make him pay when you have premium. If he folds to big preflop raises, then learn how to price him in. Manipulate the situation with your raises and keep control. That's kind of the point of raising in the first place, to gain control. So ask yourself, how can I get control with this hand preflop. If the answer is "you can't" then you might as well limp and play flop poker, regardless of your holdings.
