Interestingly I feel very similar in that; It seems like every time I get on a really good run at the tables or even in the sportsbook, if I tell my wife or friends how well I'm doing (Bragging, more or less) Immediately my luck turns for the worse and I'll rack up a string of losses. Which then causes me to shut up and put more effort into my picks and games and what do you know? I'll start grinding out a profit again.
Perhaps its a variant of Murphy's Law, or (I believe Newton's "For ever action, there is an equal and opposite reaction")? Moral of the story? I learned to keep m mouth shut, keep my wins to myself and don't BRAG. I also started wondering if I whine and complain about my losing streaks if that same "cosmic karma" if you will, would cause my luck to turn again !?
I may post my perceived results from this experiment in a future post.
