Poker is illegal in the US because the government is greedy and they can't tax it...I know thats not 100% accurate, but thats the way I view it. lmao
So why doesn't the US government make a US only poker site where they can take the rake instead? Then they can use that to pay off the national debt. >.> lol.

It not cause they are greedy its just another way for the Government to show the that they are in charge and can do what ever the hell they want to us.
online poker is illegal 'cos they are so far behind the technology to track users and then tax them. If you ever see the IRS get modernized there will be legalized sites outta Nevada and NJ in days.

I'm in Canada and the government makes a killing on both our live winnings and online winnings. It ends up being just like a business, I used to claim deposits as a business expense, got the odd laptop paid for through expenses. Whole bunch of crap - poker is very close to being legalized in the USA for the simple fact that they know how much money they are losing out on.
