Dont play as if your hand is face up, too many newbies do that...
Look up strategy articles, so much online to teach the basics.
there is no better teacher then getting in there and playing and reading some books or articles
You earn points by playing hands. The often you play poker the more you improve your skills. So you can develop your personal poker skills qnd use them to build a bankroll..

I agree with everyone else, also getting in there and learning as you go helps a lot.
also woman plays just as good as some of you Men
Playing the game is the biggest way to learn the game. Reading helps too. Women are just as good of players as Men.
There are also good woman players @ Poker. Just play and try to risk. It's just a game for everyone ;)

I always try to get my girl to play but she wont lol... one time i let her play a sit and go for like 11 cent or something when i went to the store and she took second but she really didnt know what she was doing haha

I learned at age 15 how to play poker, and I am a lot better than I was then. But Iam still learning and improving everyday.
I would suggest just playing for rake at first. It is slow going but seems to be the safest way to build a BR online.
Read books and strategy tips. Think about positioning and only play the strongest of hands -- you should be folding at least 80% of the time pre-flop.
many diff things!!! stack size~~ hand strength~~~ tight in begg stages~~correct betting imo is real key to online!!!

Just my thoughts, 1. Don't play to many hands. You can find a list of best starting hands from different positions. Look online.
2. Don't chase st8's and flushes.
3. Position is VERY important.
4. Don't get married to a hand. Hard to do, but if you think you're beat, fold.
