That is one of my favorite hands of all time lol. Suited works better.
I don't play J 10 suited too often but when I do I watch my position and who's at the table etc so that I kno wut I can and can't get away wit during the hand. Good luck on and off the felts. *hugs*
All hands are fishy if you try to fish them. And good point above, play with position and its all good.
I just got J 10 while reading this thread, and I made a 2 1/4 BB raise from UTG + 3 and took down the blinds. Normally I would fold but I have a good tight image and I am at a table where all of the other players are very tight as well.
I hate playing J10, its one of those misleading hands where if you hit you dont actually know if youre good... And the horrible thing is the shorter and shorter stack you get the better it looks.... Kind of like when you are drunk.............
JT is fairly weak. Doyle Brunson wrote about it being his favorite years ago and many followed his lead. It's marginal, and should only be played from late position with many callers in. Other than that, dump it.
I personally like playing Jack Ten...because if you hit no one can put you on that hand so you could stack someone with jack ten
i am a rookie but i won't play j,10 very often, in position, maybe.
It's pretty hard to say if someone will play J10 or not, maybe when I play loose aggessive as chipleader..
But mostly of the time I will fold it if the table is not to tight/loose
i don't know sure how it works
my worst hands are king jack and pocket jacks in my opinion.
J10 isn't really an all in preflop type of hand. It's just a drawing hand really. As for if you pair, it's good sometimes, but as always in poker, it depends on the situation. As for calling on a pot bet, if you're deep enough, and it's early in the tourney, in my opinion, it's ok to call. I know a lot of other players would.
love Jack 10 suited one of my fav hands
J10 is total trash unless u make some miracle fullhouse or 3 of a kind. Its great for making straights though. Unless u hit a str8 then throw it in the muck.
J10 is one of my favorite hands :(, but i know when not to play it...
I like it suited. Unsuited is good too
I have always perfered K-9 seems to have worked for me in the past, hopefully some day I will get a chance to play it again
j10 is always good for a limp bet or bb/sb situations..a big raise is not worth calling j10..you will get owned most of the time
I agree J10 is a very tricky hand to play. I have won and lost with about equal. I play it more when suited.
in Hold em' JT suited is considered the best preflop drawing hand, because like with any two cards you have the ability to win by making a pair and your opponent missing, you can win by making a flush, and there are 4 straights that can be made all of which are the nut straight if made. I saw someone say 9T suited and 89 suited are better than JT, but in general that's not true. You have all the same ways to win as with JT except there are straights that can be made with those cards that could still be beat by a higher straight. With all that being said obviously there is no guarantee that your gonna win with this hand and it is best played (as numerous people have said) in position and for as cheap as possible. But you can play it whenever and however you choose to. When played properly it is a very low risk, high reward kind of hand
It is a fishy hand, but you can fish with it profitably. In position, in multiway limped or min raised pots.
i love playing with fishy hands! :). Especially if i can profit with them, then they are the best
the fishier the hand, the more unbelievable it is.
