interesting spot what would yall do here?

16 people left, 15 make money, I am chip leader and second place has like 32k in chips. I am unsure if i played this hand correctly. Let me start off saying that we are on the money bubble so i took that into account on making this decision and playing the hand as i ended up playing it. When the Villian opens preflop to 7500 which was half of his stack he obviously is comitting himself to this hand. There is 0% chance he folds if i reraise him all in preflop. Also since he is commiting to this hand and we are on the money bubble i am assuming that he has a strong hand because with his stack he could have folded out all his hands till the money bubble broke. So taking all of that information into account i would like everyone to take a look at this hand and let me know what they all think.........aka if i played it correctly or if you guys would have done something differently and if so, why. Thanks ahead of time guys i really appreciate the feedback because it is stuff like this that makes us all better players.

yes PokeYourFace the villian who opened pre to 7500 had roughly like 15k at the start of the hand so him opening pre for 50% of his stack and then folding to me moving all in is NEVER going to happen. So keeping that in mind, him choosing to make his stand now like 2 from the money makes me assume he thinks he has a monster like at the very least a top 10 hand.......10-10+ AJs+ and so knowing that information i thought the best move was to fold there

Funky raise size he made there... I woulda folded just from pure confusion...Y raise that much that late in tourney? That's early tourney raise size IMO. First guess is he had a hand that he was scared to play post flop. TT, JJ, A10 thru maybe AQ ...Who knows I woulda just folded lol.

ya he took a VERY confusing line and i just couldnt think of any hands really i am beating that he could be 5x'ing pre for half of his stack with and since he did make it half his stack pre there is no way he is going to fold to a reshove from me preflop. Flatting his 75400 bet pre is HORENDOUS literally the worst choice i could make, because lets say i flat and completely airball the flop, we know that no matter what comes on the flop he is going to ship in his last 7500 so like its either a reraise all in preflop or fold preflop there are no other options.......

also guys the $3.30 1R1A @10pm server time that this hand was taken from for discussion, well i just won the whole tournament. Was my 3rd or 4th mtt i have ever played on Black Chip Poker and it feels nice to be able to run decent and play well for a change and win a tournament again.

yeah i was just thinking that poke, hes right barker. i had this same spot yesterday with 9's and the guy had 2's UTG for a huge stack. terrible players are all over the place. I know this may sound silly but if your confident in yourself try to pretend your playing with a bunch of lil babies, no joke thats what i do. Im an arrogant asshole in the poker world ( no where else in life) but i HONESTLY think of everyone else as either babies or slightly mentally challenged. There are no pros on these networks. None that are worth a shit. I feel I can beat them any time all the time. That being said, with that state of mind it allows me to play my best game 24/7. Always make the right moves. U would think that strat could allow for me making bad calls thinking im always ahead but it doesnt. It allows me not to be scared when playing and not opening certain pots or not protecting certain hands

i'm still learning so my opinion shouldn't count but i would have folded too

Pocket deuces are one of my favorite hands I generally fold them though lmao. Limp or raise.... it's your decision!

I have seen that raising half of your stack move done so much lately, and i'd say 1 time out of 10 the person had a top hand.

the move is to make you THINK and CONFUSE (as you were)

all in all I GUARANTEE the dude was more concerned about cashing, and MAY have folded.

I guess I'm too nitty on the bubble cause I would have folded there. Seems like everytime I shove in that spot blinds wakes up with a bigger PP.

and if im reading right the "villain" had 26,000 chips, not 15,000... so it wasnt half his stack

the chances he folds are waaaaaaay higher than the chances of him calling

even if he does call u could be flipping, maybe dominated.

but lets say u do lose, lets say he did have Aces. you are still in a position to win the game even is you lost those chips.

your fold equity was SUPER HIGH at that very moment, and u shoulda shipped it

I agree Poke 100% Definately understand bubble play, easy way to rack up some chips :)

while i may have been slightly joking, most of the time i really do play with that strat. Poke and Jay are just describing the correct move. Im describing why its the correct move and a way to make sure you never fail on it. The bubble in a tourney with bad players is the best time. Its like taking candy from babies. in the game i won yesterday if u guys want me to ill take 20-40 min and get my hand history for about a 15 min period ( 3 levels) before the bubble, i raised something like 14/20 hands and won 13 of them. granted I had a ton of huge hands a few big pairs and a handful of A paints suited. but i chipped up from 15, to 48k in this time frame and went on to win
