It's not like there is no luck, skill will win out over luck in the long run.
I think they're just being polite when speaking to you.
I have to agree, there are some nice people in the poker community
I know when I say it I'm not being sincere.....more like I hope I win, sorry to see you go!!!!
Like some have already said, people say GL to be polite and sincere. It's more to show respect to your opponent and a compliment.
I feel when I play on poker.com if I do not get lucky at least once I won't win the tourney. I think there is always at least one hand where you have to be a little lucky.
You always need a little luck. If I am not mistaken they say it in sports too, and there really is no luck there. It is just common courtesy.
In short its not about luck, But a little luck isnt going to hurt.
I see the argument about poker being mostly skill, but I think those who deny luck playing a major roll in your poker fate is delusional.
tho there is luck involved i thik it's more skill and you always have the option of letting a hand go. good luck i can deal with but what really gets under my skin is when people say (sorry) after they've made a hand coming from behind and won it's kind of a passive in your face 2 me. if they're so sorry why don't they give your chips back ??? Ah?
There is some luck on any given hand, but overall skill takes the lead.
poker is gambling, do not EVER let someone tell you otherwise.
It's not 100% luck like some persons think, but have a little percentage of luck. But, in my opinion, when they gl is just to be nice.
luck is needed but skill is needed to win overall
LOL luck pays a roll but u got to have skills too!If u played the whole tourney off luck u would never win need skillz!
Well I did believe the luck was more important, but even thought you are in great shape when you are in a tournament, you should not only trust with your luck to be able to win it, that's just wrong.
I tried to do that and end up losing.
Trust about your skills and your ability to read your opponents. ^_^
