limp in unless your short stack than you got to push if in position and no one raise i would raise about 2.5x
It's all about implied odds in my view, but because ~90% of the time you will hate the flop, it is better to have multiway action in an unraised pot.
the only way to play small pocket pairs is to hope that u hit on the flop or maybe turn, unless u get lucky and pop a trip on the river, of course if everyones checkin
try to hit a set. if you don't bail. don't try and bluff to often unless you smell somn fishy
Small pocket pairs you do whats called set mining...see flop cheap if hit set go...if not fold
Hope to flop a set, if not, fold. I guess is good basic strategy.
So much depends on position and relative stack size. I'll fold them a lot in early position, but if the play folds to me in later position I may raise. If there are a lot of limpers in the pot, I'll limp along.
do not need a big raise, if set on the flop you get a monster and will be able to win a good pot!
raise
Play aggressive if you have low chips, and try to limp if you are high on chips.
I prefer to limp and see if I hit a set postflop. I would call up to 3bb preflop if my stack permits. However, if im in late position (bb/sb) and it checks around then perhaps i'd throw a little raise out obviously.
great insight everyone thanks
there is no way to play them, just hope u hit the flop
The answer is subjective. And even the right answer can end up going wrong (and the wrong right [though less often])
either go big or go home haha
play aggressive to get some other people out of the hand and increase your chances
no way to play them, just hope u hit the flop turn or river

y cant i donk call the flop? o well i know i made the right fold
small pairs = small pots. smaller you can get in the better profit you make.
i usually limp in and if i hate the flop and someone bets i'd fold, unless they check of course
dont chase'm
I'll limp in to see the flop if the price is right because usually noone will put you on a low pair if you flop a set. If there is betting after the flop and I haven't hit anything and all cards on the table are higher than my pair then I'll usually bow out.
All in! Its the only way.
below 4 only in position, no flop hit fold
Flop a set if not fold unless you're short stack or pot committed
I agree with opinion that you wish to see flop fairly cheap. When hit a set, play aggressive (depending on situation on the table and image of your table). Play smart, earn money )
These are the hardest cards to play preflop, I think most often over/undervalued
get in cheap in a multi way pot and try to hit that set. If not, then just let it go.
Small pairs have to be played like aces, ship it or fold.
just hope to flop a set, could be sneaky and bust high cards/pairs on flop
honestly most the time I wont play pocket pairs below 7s or 6s, always a fail
A set in this scenario would be ideal. Play style for small pp depends on chip stack, position, and table image in my opinion. Good luck.
