Hero Poker
I like the fact they threw out a 30k + 30k to bring in US players but I don't get their luv of 6 plyr tables. Any thoughts on 6 vs 9 or 10 plr tourneys. I think Hero is the better of the Merge sites but 6 plyr is a bit less on the talent range for big MTT's. Comments?

Allright. Let me put this another way. I was playin a ton of 15-1600 player tourneys on Stars thru Poker School Online. 4 or 5 a day. It turned me into a grinder where makin the cash was the goal and aggressive play was not encouraged. If you aren't aggressive on a 6 plr table the blinds will eat u up. When u make the money, a grinder can turn agg. and go for a bigger chunk but 6 pl. is a downer for a grinder.

I cashed on the 30K, but I played grinder the 1st hour, attacked the 2nd hr and laid back the 3rd hr cause i had enough chips to ride it out.

And how is this room in general ? Can you recommend it ?
-
As the US players shop for a new home, I've added 12 rooms to try out with little investment on my part. I think Merge is pretty good and I don't really like Cake network. Bodog will probably draw the better players out there. We'll have to see what happens the next 6 mos.

Well good luck guys with the new emerging poker rooms, but watch out for the Justice Department.

I have not played on Hero. I will check it out though.

Has any european player experience with this site ? What about starting time of tourneys ?
-
I think Hero Poker is a good site. Im a fan of the 6 handed tables as well :)
-
yh sounds good i will try it

Each of the Merge sites are a bit different. Hero doesn't have anything for private tourneys and I doubt I'll find rakeback anywhere for it. Rrickir says no new US players but we'll see. Carbon is probably the best to start with now and I rarely go to Feltstars where I started my merge playin. Its just good to play in some good sized tourneys these days.

Never even heard of Hero? But 10 player tables leave you with a tougher table experience than 6 player tables because of all the donks you have to navigate through in order to get to the final show. In 6 player tables (from my experience) i've noticed players are a bit more loose aggresive, they like to see flops BUT, because of the number of people, usually fold to any pre flop re-raises.
