I'm going to guess that this won't be the last time we see this type of thing. With the major poker sites either gone or crippled, and the mid-majors scared to draw too much attention to themselves for fear of DOJ action, the WSOP is probably having a harder time bringing in advertising revenue. With that in mind, the cost for an ad-spot has probably decreased. Smaller sites may try to take advantage of a smaller market and therefore may be more interested in spending a little more money. Who knows, maybe they can get some new U.S. players who are looking for someplace that isn't "Merge" to play at.
Just my opinion though. Make sure you check out any unknown poker site before signing up and it sounds like you already did! :)
I'd be interested if we knew more about it. I'm playing mostly on carbon and cake now. Why advertise to the USA market right now though? Doesn't make since with all the events from Black Friday still trying to get figured out.
never heard of it, whats it like?
