Do not install this toolbar

Like most PO members, sometimes i will try a download for pts.Alot of the time the download will ask to install a toolbar.I have found that most are safe and can be uninstalled easily (click tools,go to add ons,disable or remove).When i fired up my laptop yesterday and opened Firefox to my surprise there is a new toolbar that i never allowed.The name of it is Open Social Eyes and when i went to tools then add ons ,NONE of my toolbars showed up.WTF,then i went to CC Cleaner (download this,it's free and a great tool) It didn't show up in any program.Eventually i found the website and found a link to uninstall it,no go,still there and slowing my comp. down.Its a corrupt file and somehow slipped by my antivirus (NORTON).The only way to get rid of it is to click on help and restart Firefox (if your not using Firefox you should) with add ons disabled.What a pain in the ass and i am still worried about this lurking in the backround somewhere.Also, for security and adware i use CC Cleaner,Malware,Anti Malware and Norton anti virus.The 1st 2 are free and i highly recommend them....

yeah, i hear ya, n i think some of em, u HAVE TO download the toolbars too. dowloadind CC now, thx.

Thanks for the information. I've made the mistake of updating and forgot to really read what I was doing and put on stupid toolbars before.

alot of these offers dont reward unless u accept the bullshit additional applications.....why have opt out and decline choices if the offer wont reward if you dont accept them!!!!

To get AVG free version, download the trial version and then go to uninstall it, it will then offer you a free version of the software.

i recommend the same as it gets virus with itself.

my recommend for you do not install ANY toolbar because if u wana do shopping or search or check weather or just abt nething else u need info on all u wud require its GOOGLE.

i usually try not to download shit because i always end up pissed trying to remove all the accessories
