The best game of this generation is The Last of Us. Certainly it is going to be game of the year. Due to epic story telling not only by narrative but also through game mechanics, visiual setpieces topped off with a soundtrack that amplifies the who experience. If you have seen and liked the movie The Road you will be pleasantly surprised by this game. Naughty Dog keeps proofing why they are so highly thought of as an developer.

If I had to guess, Game of the Year 2013 will probably go to Tomb Raider. That is, unless Rockstar Games delivers on what they are saying will be in GTA 5. Then it will almost definitely be that.
