Cyborg Santos retires from MMA

Just a little over a week since getting KO'd by old rival Melvin Manhoef in 46 seconds, 36-year-old Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos has retired from mixed martial arts according to Portal do Vale Tudo. Santos went 19-16 over a 17 year career that saw him fight for some of the world's top MMA promotions (including Strikeforce, Pride, Pancrase and Sengoku) on three continents.

He will likely be best remembered for his first fight with Manhoef, a Cage Rage title fight that Sherdog named the "Best Brawl in MMA History" and for having married top female fighter Cris Cyborg.
