Watching tv shows while grinding.

You guys have any good tv show recommendations? I like: Breaking Bad
Mad Men
Suits- Per Zab Recomendation here...
Franklin and Bash
Two and a Half Men
The Big Bang Theory
Anger Management
White Collar
Entourage..... Sadly over

I have a very addictive personality, so when I find stuff I like I go overboard quite often. I found Breaking Bad last season and watched all the episodes in like 3 days. I also just started watching Suits, and I have to say I finished a lot of episodes in like 2 days..... my all time favorite show. I also like comedies, hence 2.5 men and The Big Bang Theory.
Give me some suggestions please, the worst thing that can happen is I find I don't appreciate them as much as you do.

I never watch tv or pretty much do anything while playing. Just takes my concentrating away and then i lose ):

I watch some of the serious reality shows, storage wars, deadliest catch, Yukon Men, Gold Rush, Berring Sea Gold. Or I watch a movie I have seen before, so I can pretty much listen to it more than watch it.

I like Two and a Half Men very much to, but the most awesome show is South Park.

try Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, 2 brokr girls all shows I watch as well as most you mentioned.

you dont like burn notice? or law and order svu?

also what about comedies?

I cant even have music on when im playin anymore.. 3 or four tables going, I have to listen for chip sounds or alerts. Breaking bad was TOTALLY addicting, cant remember over the course of a show where you started rooting for the main charachter,and then slowly began to hate him!

I will turn the t.v. to a show but thank goodness for DVR because when I'm playing poker, I barely actually see any of the show. It's more listening and still I don't have a clue what's really going on.

I love The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men (Charlie Sheen version)...hate that it's in between series on BBT.

Do you have Netflix? I highly recommend House of Cards. If you like SciFi stuff check out Fringe and Continuum.

i was playing with a guy last nite who was watching tv while playing and that was his excuse to run clock every hand

if he was watching the finals then I guess it's ok LOL

I had a guy running the clock live once, but that was his strategy at least live you can call the tourney director over and make some progress that way.

I think watching TV or listening to music is a great tool to use while playing Poker, Especially when grinding long term (or big tournaments).

If you are just doing nothing but sitting in front of the efelt clicking Fold, Eventually you'll play cards that maybe you shouldn't play out of boredom.

Something to keep your brain occupied while folding.

I use the radio, otherwise I'll miss a few hands...even multitabling is hard for me

i enjoy porn and judge judy. always have one or the other on when grinding

They are one in the same to me.

i think i watch for background noise anything that is on the television at the time. it doesn't matter to me, i'm still losing lol

I love Fresh Prince of Bel-Air they show reruns on TNT and other channels often.

They are good shows you have commented on and I myself like to either watch T.V. while playing tourneys or watch youtube, usually pokers shows.

Good point.

I like to watch old shows basically. Bewitched, I Love Lucy, Mary Tyler Moore, etc.

none of those shows they all suck. walking dead or dexter that's about it.

YouTube is also a good boredom killer. I like to watch Phil Hellmuth blowups while I play.

I think watching tv is fine while playing poker but things like surfing the web, reading forums are what distract you too much. You don't get to see whats going on until its your turn and missing the slightest info on how opponents play can hurt your chances.

Well, I recommend Dexter as a show, but I could never watch it while playing poker. I might have on some re-runs of sitcoms. I saw a few of the old school ones mentioned already, from I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeanie, Fresh Prince, Everybody Loves Raymond. I can play with shows like that on.

When grinding online I like to watch law and order you don't have to watch it to understand whats going on.

I agree when playing in a tourney you must watch the pattern of the players to avoid or take advantage of
