Poker is a brutal game. Not only do you have to be tough mentally but also physically. I think it is probably a lot harder than it looks to sit at a poker table for 16hrs/day over several days which is the case with many major tournaments. I think it's thrill of the win and for people that are good at poker the knowing they can beat a game by figuring out the people in it.

Yea its brutal but the feeling of winning a tournament is completely worth it.
it is brutal but I play because I love the competition and everyhand is different and it always changes
but when you lose money very easily gives down :(
That\'s a relative question. Nobody who is running hot would think "this game is brutal." Most likely they are too high on dopamine to even question what their doing, and why its working out. Unless of course they are emphatic.
Somtimes poker is brutal other times it\'s not I love the game and am willing to take the suck outs or coolers to win

the brutality of poker keeps your juices flowing. knowing that your competition is dominated keeps you coming back for more. there is nothing like the feeling of having the NUTZ so to speak and having someone raise and check-raise you

online poker has gone to hell just a bunch of fat asses who are to lazy n dumb to go find a real tournament to play in.
yes poker is a cruel cruel game...been getting my ass handed to me for days now...and yet strangly enough no matter how crappy the hands or how lucky the opponent gets we continue to play...my take a break for a few days but we always come back to play
