And it has Ben Affleck? Totally a poker movie competition between him and Matt Damon. But from the sounds of it this movie will have a lot less to do with poker than Rounders did. Not sure anyone will ever out-do rounders when it comes to poker cult films.
It wont be a better poker movie than rounders, it seems to be more of a mobster movie than a poker movie, it only has a small bit to do with poker based on the trailer

Not all great movies do amazing at the Box office. They later make tons of money from word of mouth. A movie called Dazed and Confused also didn't do well at the Box office, I suppose you think that movie sucks too????
Only bad part is that JT is the lead, wont be as iconic as Rounders
ehhh I liked rounders but matt damon sounded exactly how he sounded as if it was screened.....he was terrible....
I absolutely loved Rounders. It will have to be quite a movie to top that.

After watching the trailer, I feel like Ive seen the whole movie and already know whats going to happen. Looks kinda lame actually.

rounders is a tough one to beat. dont see timberlake being as believable in the poker world
Timberlake and Affleck actually play online in real money. I think it'll be a decent movie.

I'm sure it will be entertaining, but it is not a movie about poker in the way rounders was. I do wonder if the idea for this movie was born from the Absolute poker scandal though.
i agree i think maverick was one of the best poker movies!! if u call it that!! im not a big justin timberlake fan, but i will most likely watch it!!
