I kinda liked Rounders, but the best poker move of all time has to be Steve Mcqueen's CincinnatiKid the tension in that room just wow! I know it's an oldie but loved it! he might not have all the luck but he has life luck I call it.
Rounders with Maverick a good second. Who knows, a better movie may just be a few years away.

Agreed Magic, The Cincinnati Kid was frigging awesome which may shock some of the youngins here on how good oldies can be...

It's got to be Rounders but only because I can't think of another poker related movie. Rounders is not just a great movie feauturing poker though. It's a gem period.

Rounders will be the best forever.... Say a few cool ones but rounders is so good. Watch it over and over and never gets old. Best movie hands down.

The best poker movie imo for PO members who like to run it up with nothing is LUCKY YOU with Robert Duvall

Well, I can tell you what is NOT the best one - a movie called "Lucky You". Terrible dialog - it was like they tried to cram every poker jargon term into the movie, and not always appropriately. had a lot of the known names at the time tho

the two ive seen most recently were the Stu Unger Movie- it was interesting and educational. (i will never bet on horsies or sports)
also Bet Raise Fold was ok. but obv rounders is and always be classic great, the cast alone was phenomenal. Lucky You was silly imo. 21 was not a poker movie either.
after i posted i started thinking of all card-casino-poker movies with the exception of 21 (which was more of taught mathematical skill as opposed to poker skills which require math, bluffing, reads blah blah well ya'll know) so im ranting bc it would be nice to see one fawkin poker movie with a chic at the table instead of behind the bar, working in the cage, or acting like a coked out floozie. hell she doesnt have to even be the main character but perhaps to even have girl at the table. and while im ranting a black guy at the table would be cool too. ahem ivey. just sayin. :rolleyes:
drounders and lucky you are by far the two best that I have seen casino royale succed but was more about seret agent man instead of poker sooo...

not familiar with many of the poker movie....rounders obv was a good 1 but seemed wat to scripted....runner runner was a good movie but that was just kinda based imo on what happen to all the us players with ftp....there are a few doc that u can find which are good
