Why it's hard to win against unskilled players.

Just blowing off steam here. But, if the shoe fits.,,, When playing against unskilled players, who from now on will be refereed to as D.A.'s (Dumb Asses).

If you have pocket Aces and 4 DA's call, you only have a 40% chance of winning. Even with only 3 DA's, you only have a 50% chance. And etc. This is with Aces so other pairs are less chance to win.

We all know how hard it is to isolate players in PO tournaments... but another way to look at it is. DA's make the poker world go around,,, Good luck and take care.

lol I feel your pain wagon, I have lost with kings aipf the last 7 times I have had them in PO games and none of them to Ax, you have to tale a break and play some real games sometimes or you will forget any real info you have learned. I basically stopped C betting because no one in PO freerolls have a fold button, but I have been on a break lately and playing other games and there is a big difference.

What these players are doing is not learning the game....

If you want to play like a DA, go for it. I wouldn't care if it was a freeroll or a substantial buyin, I would hope people wouldn't want to be completely waste their time and play like DA's...freeroll or not.

Being hard to isolate in a freeroll is a hard thing to do... Just try to get your chips in while ur ahead and hope ya dont get unlucky... as for you mr wagon, i avoid pots with u, you outdraw me everytime... :)

I'm new to this site, so I'm not sure what you mean. I do know that I see pocket aces loose and cost the holder dearly, sometimes all out, lol... when they go all in with em' pre-flop... It's dangerous to be a donkey with any pockets. I honestly get more excited pre-flop with suited faces. Hope to face off with you on a table soon Mr Wagon God :)

LOL. Awesome metaphor. As far as isolating is concerned, you just usually have to reraise a lot more than in a normal tournament. But if they still call, that just means they don't care.

You can't play the fish/donks by theory. You need to know who's the donks and what type of donks they are and experience. Experience makes everything better. With that said, I don't label my opponents as donks. You guys need to drop the attitude. A little respect gets you far.

He didnt label them as donks he calls them DA's and in our PO games there are just sooo many DA's its very hard to get thru them all anymore! and like someone already said they arent tryin to learn, there just freeroll donkey bingo players who will call(or push any 2) anything with any 2 LMFAO IMO what used to be fun has long since gone! dam this site for growing lol just kiddin but i have no clue why you wouldnt label your opponents as donks or players.. there is a difference!

There is a reason their play is warranted. and maybe even the right play. IF your time is valuable and you cant wait for Premiums you simply get into the biggest pot you can (multiple players) and simply hope you win. If you win then your odds of cashing go up a great deal. IF not - you have the rest of your afternoon free to play other cash games.

i think we should make thread calling out DAs, lets name them!

not every player plays a "conventional" game ... it's part of the challenge, the mystery and thrill ride of poker...otherwise, might as well just play limit stakes, lay down our cards and see who hits a bingo
