Finished 35th out of 3300+ people in the PL Omaha Freeroll on Carbon/Merge last night. I am so disappointed in myself I probably should of been more conservative being only 11 spots away from the money. I had the best hand, I had the guy dominated and then he hits runner runner for the win and to knock me out. Oh well thats merge for you maybe I should of played it safe but I wanted a shot at the win.
Well if you want to reach the final table, you shall have to take risks.
True and thats why I made the move but then i saw how far ahead i was and then to lose runner runner it was killer.
Well this happened to me and to thousands of other poker players also, so do not worry next time you will make the final table, my friend.
Thats what happens over and over again, you have to get used to it. I lost $75 in 2 hands last night with KK back to back hands first up against JJ J on the flop, then stacked when I run into AA

I think the risks you have to take in freerolls are crap. but unfortunately they are a hard reality

that has happened to me way too many times at carbon.. my games there are freezeouts and bounties.... ive been killin the tables of late in those games... gl with your freerolls
yeah ive been holding my own in the bounties on there I had a deep run in the 2000 NL Freeroll then got called into work and had to leave sitting with 45k in chips and about 300 people left
Those freerolls are crazy, you need very lucky to get on the paid positions.
same crap has been happening to me in those when i get deep

Merge Freerolls are long and crazy the top 20 should get paid
The freerolls are nice because they pay top heavy. There is nothing worse than playing for several hours to win 25 cents. Try the fun step sit and gos if you don't have time for a whole tourney. They pay $1 to anyone that can win a step 3.
know the feeling.seems to happen more in the freerolls but it does happen in regular games to.its nothing new at merge unlike most ive just havent played there much until recently.
merge is probably the worst software i have ever seen, get it?

I played in the carbon PLO today for the first time. Im so clueless when playing, but its fun.
that sucks pokerdemon hopefully next time you can score and get in the money after that hard work

yeah unfortunately i have not been able to duplicate another deep run here lately
merge sites blow my nuts but i have to deal with it until our government tax our asses off lol
yea those freerolls have really put a dent in me . i always get so close but still not a cash.
rule number one "In order to win you must first be in it" Yes it would be nice for your hand to hold once in a while but sometimes its better to attack the shorter stacks or get involved with them then to get in with a stack that can take you out.. at least that late in anyways
that's what I have been trying.... I will play a close to junk hand if all the chip leaders have folded and there
aren't too many close to probably "having to go all-in"

i have seen the old saying of"typical fulltiilttt suckout" has changed to "typical merge suckout" LOLOL< to me these sites are all the same like th at tho,, kinda bad yessss, but we goota deal with it so.... GL to ya
yeah i agree that all the sites are the same and that the "typicla (insert site here) suckout" is usually inserted with whatever site you play at the most
In omaha if you have the nuts on the flop that's not really the best hand as the combinations are endless you can get beaten on river and turn by a flush,straight,full house,quads,etc...you should have been more careful
sometimes you need to know to retire early, although we paresca the best hand, you have to fold and keep fighting
true but when most of or all of you chips are in preflop you cant fold
