I don't think it's rigged or he got "rewarded". He took a chance, decided to GAMBLE, called, and hit. It happens. It wouldn't be poker if you AUTOMATICALLY beat him cause you had AK. What sense would that make? He made a "bad" call for that point in the tourney true enough. But aye, if no one ever made a bad call, you could never win any money in this game. People say this game is a mix of skill and luck. I say it's a game of skill, luck, AND gamble.

This is very true. The AJhh had about a 22% (only 22% because you had an ace in your hand) chance to win and the 54hh had a 32% chance to win. You with AKch only had a 41% chance to win. So it was a really a gamble and Luck in this situation. It sucks to lose more than half your stack in this situation. At 41% chance you are going to lose more than win in this type of spot. Luck just wasn't on your side this time. Get them next time Lilg.

Yes, I can vouch for this....I was only kidding when I claimed online poker isn't rigged. Duck's dad is indeed a programmer for bcp and he picks a random target each day to get nothing but bad beats....then, for amusement, he reads this forum and if he sees the person who got bad beats complaining about it, he keeps him on the target list from that point on. I can vouch for this because my dad is better than his dad.
