Ok that\'s pretty sick but not unheard of
What about getting the sucker end of a straight flush.. been there, done that
that is fairly unlucky
I was playing on Poker Stars and had pocket 4s and on the flop it comes out 4K4 I check one person bets I call the turn is a 10 I check the other person checks and the river is a 5. I check the other person bets big and I go all-in. The other person calls and he shows pocket K's and I show pocket 4's. That guy was sick to see that. After I KO'd him out of the tournament the guy stayed online and dogged on me for at least 15min. in the chat box. LOL
Oh man that's classic
it's rough when you think (know) you have the absolute nuts and then for that feeling to turn to sheer and utter dis-belief ....i had 44 flop came 449.....i bet....villian raises.....i re-raise the minimum....he shoves all in....i call....he shows KK.....he then proceeds to hit runner runner Kings.....i head butted the moniitor of my computer and broke it......this was about 5 years ago....if this were to happen to me again i would just laugh

this happenede to a buddy of mine: he played nl holdem 44$ heads-up shootout, final table:
had KK from the dealer position, he raised
the BB called with A3o
flop: QQ10, BB check, dealer raise half the pot, BB call
turn: Q, BB raise, dealer all in, BB call
river: Q, BB wins, Ace high
yeah that are some very interesting situations which could occur and they make you fell very upset when you lose a hand like that...
I read about similar situation in Doyle Brunson's book.
Player A had JJ and player B had KQ.
Before the flop player B raised and player A called.
Flop was J 3 3...A checked,B raised,A followed.
Turn is 3..Same situation as in the flop.
River is (guess what) 3 :)...
A checked,B raised and A was so frustrated that he had to call and lose...
It's 989 to 1 to catch perfect cards..(like player B caught on the turn and river).
you had this happen live?
where do u play that doesnt offer a bad beat? that hand would make u crazy rich if u played anywhere in cali that i do.
well that is kind of had to believe that you did not win that hand when fours cards the same come up like that but as anyone knows who has played poker before at times anything can and will happen. Just use it as a learning lesson and move forward although most who have that hand will surelt think that have all beat at the table any when it comes on the flop its so early in the hand that the rush sometimes causes a person to not think the whole hand through. But the could news is that more than likely it will happen again , maybe not often but it will as long as you continue to play poker and who knows the result will more than likely will be in your favor, so congrats on the Quads and good luck in the future !
I played at the chipleaders table for about a half-hour and doulbed my 2000+ chips 4 times because the chiplearder lost one hand and decided to go all-in every hand after that!
Soon after I saved that image ....you guessed it...I went all in and almost took him completely out!
Thats a nice looking board for your hand :P Your small bet trapped him
that is to sick , but to bad there wasnt a bad beat jackpot.
that is a sick beat playing Live i can feel ya on that one not a normal appearance live. I play at fulltilt so i see it every day lol...ohh the sick sick beats in online poker heh
quads are rear but have seen them get beaten by straight flush on the river.
Thats poker I guess. Sometimes those unlucky cards are gonna catch. I've had multiple instances of flopping a full house and pushing, only to have the turn or river bring my opponent a better full house. Its just unlucky timing, but try not to let it get to you. Those kind of bad beats will not happen all to often.
wow unlucky both nice hands i guess
