Collusion or not collusion?

Playing the 5:30 EST BCP PO game and we're at the final 11. Shortstack pushes all in for 345, it gets folded around to big blind who is 2nd chip stack and blinds are at 125/250...player delays (did not timeout) and then folds for 95 more chips...sorry, but that is the definition of collusion. NO ONE folds for 95 chips in the big blind Heads Up. I mean I got knocked out on bubble with KK to 83 because the chip leader only had to call for like 300 more chips and was big blind, which he IS supposed to do in that position (easy call rivdee :-) and nice runners lol). It's for a small prize pool, but the players here are supposed to be a lot more respectable even when playing a buddy. Winner takes more money, sorry to the friend that lost...it's just wrong, is all I'm really saying.

I have to agree this does sound collusion to me. BB should make this call no matter what 2 cards they have.

not going to say it was collusion but if I saw someone fold for 95 more chips to put someone all in I would think collusion myself

Sounds fishy. I don't know who the participants are, but sometimes if you're multitabling you're not paying that close attention. If the guy took a long time to decide he may have been paying attention to other tables, then realizing he was running out of time made a quick decision.

Of course, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.

To be fair it could be either the guy was just stupid and didnt realise what was happening, or was afk ( as you said he delayed his action) and ran back to the computer opened up the screen seen his hand and clicked fold. Might not have even looked at what was going on.

Agreed. Sounds quite suspicious and the cynical side of us tend to think the worst, however, it could have happened just as you stated.

It would be collusion if they were fully aware of the situation and just gave the guy a pass. But, it is common that people are doing other things like multi-tabling, changing their music, watching TV, having sex, and sometimes they just hit the wrong button. I know I have folded to the BB from the SB in error on more than one occasion when the BB was a sit-out

I'm all the time folding, calling, even raising on accident. Sometimes it works out, most of the time it doesn't, but you always look like a donkey.

I fold while in the blind a lot (many of you know this and exploit it against me.)

I KNOW I play way to tight passive, I am working on it.

However, I don't think it is right to immediately jump to collusion theories just because someone doesn't play your version of "good poker" .

I make many decisions that are bad poker decisions, that is how I learn what works for me. I have been playing more, and in my opinion am getting better.

I don't feel the need to criticize any ones play. (Even when I lose)

There have been enough times where my patience pays off and the very next hand is one worthy of going all in with.

I am good at making comebacks, lasting long, and making final table.......Its the winning I need to work on.

That definitely does look like collusion. That's a standard any two cards call. The only way it's not collusion was if he was the guy was sitting out. That's the only way, but in that case, it screams collusion.
