bad losing streak after BIG WIN

so i win a $1200 on my first tourny then jump right into another one and win a little over $950...that was 4 weeks ago...i can't last longer than the first hour in tournys since then...i get sucked out on they will catch runner runner or they will go all in with 7-3 and catch a 3 on the river when i'm holding AK in every hand that has a decent size pot or if i go all-in...this happens for 3-4 weeks every time after a big tourny win....i go on TILT SO EASY and i'm fucking up the other 2 games i'm playing...i'll play 3 tournys at a time....

does this happen to any one else after a big win...do you go on a bad dry spell...this has been happening to me for the last 7 years....it's like i only get1 week a month where the cards will fall my way....:mad::mad::mad:

Its prolly a psychological affect when u might not be playing at your best. If u get sucked out on, then its prolly random bad luck. I used to have this after i withdrew money. That was the withdraw curse...

I've had times like that..i always took a few days maybe longer break. Hope it gets better for you.

sorry but this is just too small of sample size, the wins could be variance or this run bad may also be a downswing just keep doing what your doing and don't get tilted :)

my first rule - after a big win - take a break.
you lose more then you win so dont rush into anything

damn that's a rough run i feel ur pain...gotta just roll with the punches and the best advice i can give is just walk away from the big buyinsw for a little bit...stick to micro/medium SNGs or micro cash tables and hopefully the variance comes back in ur favor

Sounds like ur losing up a bit too much and playing too many 60/40 hands to hard/fast...Play less like a 3minute level super turbo short stack player and more like a 10 minute level deep stack player.

Well, for me it's kind of opposite.
I tried and tried to win a big win but never actually reaching it.

those 2 wins you mention are solid wins, do you know that some peeps have never won that much in onlin tourneys..just take a small break or play mtts with smaller fields like 45 man sngs...good luck

I feel you I just had a big run on bovada I deposited 35.00 and in three days I was sitting with 2,000 I cashed at at1k but I am noticing some things that people have warned me about so I think I am going to stick with carbon.I am trying out the new Skill Bet poker site which is supposed to be 100% legal and approved for most USA states see how that goes.

sounds like you may be trying to push your edge I used to do this also after a big win.After a win I usually switch games so form tourneys to plo cash or from cash to sngs seems to help with my down swing(of course after a big win $150+ I take 10% and "donk" it back to the community)this works for me but the idea is that you find some way that can "reset" your thinking after a win hope this helps...

Well that is called variance and that happens to every poker player in the world.

maybe multitableing is not for you, requires alot more focus etc

after a big win i go on vacation and dont play for a moth

you just have to go day by day and go slow and think about your next move

This happened to me once, won 430, and went down to 130 in a week and a half... I strongly reccomend you stop playing for a week or so, because being on tilt can bust a whole bankroll in little time.

i think its the same for everyone. because it always happen to me after a big win. and now when i win i nice amount of money, i stop playing big tournament, i just go for fun with small buyin. Normally when you win big money you should not play for 3-4days

I have yet to win more than $30 profit and that was at a PLO cash table playing .02/.04 when I did

I have a similiar experience online. I can cash and make 30 buy ins but then I go on a 40 buy in losing streak. Hmmmm???? I think I figured my problem out tho.....I suck online....LOL

thats just rotten haha keep pushing and start doing some homework/ self evaluation to help minimize fluctuations

if u hav bad losing streak please do good for urself take a break from poker for few days enjoy life with frds drinking eating etc. and then wheneva u feel like playing do in small stakes to build up ur bankroll for a while before moving onto ur normal games, gud luck.

A bit of advice, try to only play one tourney at a time. Too many can cause you to tilt to easy. This is only advice from a past experience to me.

Let not play very well after the victory. but the game is the game can simply put your opponents are vynedil all-in and you have AA.

I had that in the past, would win lots of sng's and lose it with cash games :/

Amen to this, tripled up in Omaha PLO and got blasted out by a ridiculous river hand... Lost it all in one sitting, had 4 Kings VS 4 aces... again.
