How about Pin the Tail on the Poofmeister?
What if we die zabbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb!!!!!!!!!
Lets have life insurance upgrade!~ if one of us die.. They can choose percentage obviously in their profile of what people get from their points.. Or maybe they want a tourney dedicated to everyone in their honor... For real this should be real ....
Ummm, because we don't always just sit idly by and wait for the timer to go down to 0. We could be involved with other things including maybe being in the middle of a big hand in another tournament. That 3 minutes can go by pretty quickly, and on BCP you really only have 2 minutes because registration ends 1 minute before the tournament starts.
then dont register for a passworded tourney if your not able to get the password in time...
couple of tips have the password page open (where u type in the password)
resize (if needed) your browser window (if you are on windows 7 this is easy just snap it to the left/right)
have the table you are playing on in the bottom third of your page and the tourney you are regging in in the top third of the page so u can navigate between all three with ease
Can we have more of an incentive/reward to filling out the whats working info?
I personally do it just because it is good karma and I notice it is just a handful of the same people who actually bother to do it. Maybe if there was more of a reward than a few pts rebate, others would be more motivated to share that extremely useful information with everyone else.
tbh i dont even know where u fill out your whats working info any more, never bothered to look since the task ticker was introduced
Here's an idea I had that should be easy to get going since we already have a lot of the moving parts working on the site.
How about "Match Play" throughout the day? 16 players for each single-elimination tournament (you can have more than 1 tournament a day) with, lets say a 100-200 point entry. Using only the Carbon tournaments, you just have to outlast your opponent to advance, just like the LLBs. If you had a 16 person tournament, you'd be down to 8 by the 4 PM Carbon, 4 by the 7 PM, and the finals at the 10 PM.
People are always looking for ways to make a lot of points with a small investment, and I think the players would be in to this. Plus, it rewards your players that play all day as they're the only ones that could really take part in it.
What do you think?
First i played for fun ~ then i was in the speedway ~ had to step it up . Then someone drew my attention to the ratings ~ Step it up ! Leader boards ~~ Up dame ~ I say Brang It !
And this isn't a passive idea - people would have to voluntarily signup, so only those who know they are gonna play in all 4 should get in.
In essence, this idea is just 15 LLBs throughout the day, determined by other LLB results.
some of us aint got nutten betta to do ..n i think the numbers would be a little higher
You should do some kind of donkey bet tournament where people pay like 100 points to enter and get like 1000 units to use in donkey bets. At the end of the day/week the person with the most units wins the prizepool.
Edit: Thinking about it you could do the exact same thing with LLB's.
What if we make this like idea, and twist it a bit.. Think March Madness.. Field of 64 with brackets..
So the idea I am getting is, the first 64 people who want to sign up, fill in the spots.. If we only get 50 then people will get byes in the first round..
Ok imagine a bracket: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...Bdzp7itxmRik-g
You get randomly seeded...
What we do is make it a LLB challenge..
Example: Lets say you are seeded against Prawney. Rivdee vs Prawney
- THE FIRST tournament that BOTH of you play in together, whoever Lasts Longer than the other wins and advances to the next round (Tomorrow)
- If neither of you play in the same tournament, whoever finishes higher for the day (5th place vs 15th place etc, 5th place advances)
- If neither of you play at all today, winner determined by coin flip
- In the event of a tie, whoever finished in a higher place with a larger field (5th place - 80 person field vs 5th place 60 person field, the 80 person field would advance)
Wednesday - Monday field of 64 starts to be filled for the next week
Round 1- Monday (Down to 32)
Round 2- Tuesday (Down to 16)
Round 3- Wednesday (Down to 8)
Round 4- Thursday (Down to 4)
Round 5 - Friday (Down to 2)
Round 6 - Saturday (Winner)
i think the random seeding is whack. You can rank players on here.
OK Now we're talking. I would tweak the following - If neither person plays, it should be a draw and they are both eliminated (remember, we're trying to reward player loyalty).
The cool thing is, for a very small investment of 100 pts, you could win 6400 if the tournament filled in.
You need to have more than 1 winner for sure :)
Final 4 should be rewarded.. its all about the final 4 right? I could see a final 4 leaderboard (With banners)
Also, a Draw I don't think we should do, think about how that effects the next round.. Someone gets a free bye
What about more poker sites? like fulltilt I LIKE THIS POKER ROOM SO MUCH!
Please
please
please! :O
This promotion has got to be called PO Madness
Don't want to reward someone.... but what else could we do.. I mean, we could take ALL the losers, whoever finished in highest spots would fill out the 'draws'
Example
We're in the field of 16 (so 8 games going head to head) 2 of the games have 4 idle players. We could take losers from the other 6 games and whoever finished highest could get a "2nd life" to fill those 2 spots
Say if i was to play the 1pm game and finish 1st place but my opponent didnt play, my best strategy would be to just not play the rest of the games that day because only way i could not advance is if my opponent wins a game that and i lose the coinflip.
These PO games / leagues should be seen as less fun and more of a competition with definite winners, and top ranked players. "fun for everyone" doesnt attract the high rollers MORE POINTS, MORE BI, MORE PRIZES!!!!!!!!!!!!
If people are going to pay to enter i dont think many would pay then not play atleast 1 game a day. Maybe just open up some reserves spots for the same entry fee. If both people from a game dont play then they both get eliminated and forfeit their entry fee and the first reserve advances to the 2nd round.
OK, lets not get ridiculous - you aren't finishing a tournament in 1st place :)
But I agree with your idea, you don't want a promotion that encourages people to sit out.
Zab, I like the idea of "Best finish by a loser" advances in lieu of a bye because their opponents didn't play. As long as you can override it easily, it could work.
I'm speaking frankly as someone who's done web/database development for 15 years - start simple, make sure the basic logic works and you can just override any results we need changing. Easiest way to get it off of the ground.
