Serious question:
What would it take for YOU to actually refer people here.
What I mean is, something that, when you read it, you said.. Shit, I need to start referring people that I know.
our standard dogshit referral \ refer a friend system doesn't work that well..
So, I want to make it better
Right now it's 5% on all points earned.
Keep in mind, whatever you suggest I have to also consider abuse (People referring themselves)
The 5% is pretty low, maybe if it was 10%? If people referred themselves they would eventually get caught anyway.

what makes PO special for me today its something i cant "sell" to others.... i mean, people wont come sign up if i say to them what always makes me come back: the Comunity. but i know what u mean, i agree that to "fish" some new members in you need something more than that, and obviously MONEY always talks lauder (after all it was what first brought ME to the site as well, what can i say?).... Big Games, Big Prizes, High Profits.....thats the kind of stuff that always catches eyes first..... YES, people learn to like PO for OTHER reasons, but that will take at least 3 months.... :)

Maybe a tournament for the new members and the members who recruited them? Don't know if you'd want to do that monthly or whatever though. Guess it would depend on how many people joined. Points as the prizes, or maybe a $5 card(of choice) for first, pts for 2nd -? I don't know just throwing an idea out there.

so how do we get new members and make people want to refer friends? the answer is simple. get betters higher converting offers. is this possible? idk. when i add offers on the po tasks wall i look for types of offers i myself and types of offers ive seen others convert. the easier it is to convert the more likely more than 1 user will try to convert it.
my whole point is, if people could make points easier, which means they can convert to $$$$ faster, theyd be telling their friends about it alot quicker. everyone likes money and we all wouldnt mind doing offer upon offer if it was a better conversion rate. the only offers that convert easy n quick are the purchase offers really. also maybe popping the rate to 7.5-10% for life wouldnt hurt either

100% agreed Tommy. I know how much of a hassle ppl have to go thru to try to recover missing points from the offer walls, and even then it's hit or miss. Even adding offers on getpaidto, they say the same thing - follow the path, converts on 1st page email submit, yada yada yada. That's the way they word it, and you expect it to be so, when it rarely actually is.
No it's not Zab's fault as you said, problem being that the same offers are run on different networks from the same advertisers. WallAds, Matomy, all of them run the same offers, though maybe more or less pts, it's still like playing Russian roulette.
And seeing as this is now a (in Zab's words) a glorified GPT site, maybe running some offer contests would draw some people in. Those are big on most sites, makes people work harder to get the prize.

After you refer a member, when they do 5 Offers and get them to credit the guy who refferred the member gets 550 pts!

A lot of people like immediate gratification. So a certain number of points up front and then 5% would probably the best way to attract more referrals. The unkown factor though would be how much more fraud a system like that might induce.
