Speedway Adjustments

I'd put this in upgrades but we can't post there:

So I think we need to scale back either the number of teams, or players per team. There are players on almost every team that have played zero tournaments, and the best part is there's no one to replace them with.

We have a solid 20-25 people that play, so maybe we can do one of two things:

- 10 teams with 3 spots each.
- 6 teams with 4 spots each.

All things being equal with people cashing the relative same amount week by week, its seems like speedway is determined by who gets placed where.

Thoughts?

BTW, The fact that I can't fire fluffy is the impetus of this post.

This was suggested like a year ago, I think it's still on the back burner, simmering.

I agree that it is pretty much the luck of the draw. I do think it maybe needs some kind of adjustment, not sure how tho.

The ideal way (in my opinion) would be have a variable way built in to put only money winners on teams according to how many 4 member
teams could be made. if odd number of players, then there would be a pool of players to hire later in the week.

Right now you can't hire/fire until wednesday. How about this, working with your thought:
Start the week off with 6 4 person teams (or 8 3 person teams), and leave a spot open that only becomes available Wednesday.

Then you should (realistically) have the same amount of active players, and its up to the captain to actually pay attention to get another member.

So maybe 5 teams?

Or same teams less players per team? (Not sure if the coding would allow that, less teams for sure)

If you're gonna do 5 teams would you make it winner take all or top 2?

it def is luck of the draw and i think 5 teams would help for sure but should make it worth more also...maybe even cost something to get in

Cant do a cost - its a passive promotion for a reason

side bets need to start happening then lol

Easy fix is 5 or 6 teams without changing anything else, if coding allows, 6 teams with 4 members paying top 2 cars. That's my 2 cents :)

Don't think this is a good idea, it could invite soft play. Just my thoughts.

lol.... well i think it will be fine with 5 cars so we can at least hire people... definitely luck of the draw with regular players... i think you should take an extra % from somewhere lol and make more for the cars or make a buy in... would be cool

jsut wondetring why this happpend mid weeek is alll,,,,,, can i blame rivdee then?:( lol.... i was in first place car i think with sweetheang, or 2nd last nite wehn went to bed.... We'll see how this goes, maybe add another car next couple weeks

i think it will work fine with 5 cars- this way we can hire someone for a change..
