What is this?
PokerOwned players like to brag, just showing users how much money you have won, doesn't cut it. What if you won money against a weak field? What if you took 1st place then last, last and last? How good are you really?

We solve that debate now

Sweet, how do I enter?
The player rating system is a passive promotion, meaning you do not need to opt in, only play in AT LEAST 6 tournaments a week to qualify.

6 tournaments, explain please
To get a true sense of your rating, if you took 1st in tournament this week, you would probably be ranked #1. You need to have played in at least 6 tournaments to qualify each week to win points.

Ok I get it, how do you determine my rating after the tournament?
We have consulted NASA and have come up with this formula:

Total Average In The Money % of everyone that opted in
ADD
Total Number of players that are playing
DIVIDED BY
The position you finished in the tournament.

Or

ITM % (All users avg) + Entrants / Position = your rating for that tournament

English please, give me an example
All users combined = 36.5 ITM %, there were 35 users that are playing. Lets see what your rating is if you finished in 16th place or 20th place.

36.5 + 35 = 71.5 / 16th place = 4.46 Player Rating for that tournament
36.5 + 35 = 71.5 / 20th place = 3.57 Player Rating for that tournament

*** NOTE *** We ran some tests. 1-8th place were getting a TON TON TON more points than everyone else.. Like 30x's more points. So what we came up with was:

1st / 5
2nd / 5.5
3rd / 6
4th / 6.5
5th / 7
6th / 7.5
7th / 8
8th / 8.5

Then 9th place / 9
10th place / 10
and so on



Ah ok, I get it. So the harder the field the more rating points I can earn?
Yes. The harder the field and more players in the tournament, the higher your rating becomes as you place higher in THAT tournament.


Sweet, how much can I win?
This is a progressive prize pool. We currently take 4% out for promotions on each and every survey. 1% of that is dedicated to the weekly prize pool for the Player Rating system.

Depending on where you rank each week, you can win the following % of the prize pool:

1 10 %
2 9 %
3 8 %
4 8 %
5 8 %
6 7 %
7 7 %
8 6 %
9 6 %
10 5 %
11 5 %
12 4 %
13 4 %
14 3 %
15 3 %
16 2 %
17 2 %
18 1 %
19 1 %
20 1 %


So if the total prize pool is 5500 points, and you take 4th place, you win 10% of the prize pool or 550 points.

*** Note *** There could be a TON of points given away each week, so I may have to add more places
