New Upgrade - Donkey Derby -

What is this?

Donkey Derby!

It's basically a group Last Longer Bet with a twist. You pick 1 donkey (player) that you think will outlast everyone else. The key is, you can't pick yourself!

Why can't I pick myself?

Because essentially that's donkey betting, if you want to do that, then do donkey betting instead!

How much does it cost? How much can I win?

25 points to enter and pick a donkey.

If your donkey takes:

1st Place - 50% of the prize pool
2nd Place - 15% of the prize pool
3rd Place - 10% of the prize pool

As you can see, if all the donkeys are picked, a max of 75% of the prize pool is won. This way the pot keeps growing!


Won't this encourage collusion?

I doubt it, the prize pools should stay relatively low. This is just a fun, small promotion!

What if I pick the same donkey as someone else?

First come, first serve. Be quick and get the donkey you want!

What about late registration? Can I pick those? What if they win?

When my PO bankroll will allow it, I am all over these cool azz promos. Very creative. Keep that chit coming!

Anyone tried this? What's the consensus? You like it?

I've placed a few bets, and I like the concept.

I have noticed that only a few people are placing bets each tourney. Maybe people just aren't fully aware of the promo yet.

Cool promotion. It is very similar to donkey betting but it's nice with the twist.

zab, is there a way to see past winning bets? maybe that will get people to play the promo...

At the bottom of the Donkey Derby page it shows the past winners.

I think i will pick a donkey for the next po tourney, see how it goes.

I just decided that I am going to win the next two po tourneys so there is no sense in picking a donkey.

Nice to wake up and find couple hundred points extra, after picking winner.

under the donkey's name in the DDerby,.....why is there what looks like the same person's name listed twice, but with a variation of the name ??

I wonder if this should be changed in some way. It's a 25 point investment but only a 333 prize pool. Picking first place only gets you half that - about a 50 to 1 shot, but only 6.5 to 1 payout. I think you need to do something to make it worth playing.
