When you purchase a coupon, if you are in default, the cost of the coupon will be increased by 15 points.

Those 15 points (every time you buy a coupon while in default) will be sent to the person you owe points to OR the insurance bank.

It's not a ton of points, but just enough to remind you to pay your debts.
