I think we need to lower the loan shark back down to max 2000 or 1000 points.
These 5000 point loans has 2 problems.
#1 people get in WAY over their heads
#2 the insurance on those can be brutal to pay back (Don't want to bankrupt the insurance company!)
Sounds good Zab, it seems as if the debt is getting out of control.
I think since new members are more likely to use the Shark this is a great idea. Where as established members with trusted friends may have other means of borrowing, trading or loaning out points that exceed 1k or 2k anyway. Why give people an excuse to go into a debt so huge that they either just leave the site or make a new account? Good thinking Zab .. pull that trigger.lol
ya there's really no reason to get a 5000 point loan. That's just to much. I am thinking 1000 max

I've never seen the point of a 5k loan (or any loan for more than a full day's worth of tournaments - 600 points). So I think lowering the max back down to 1k is a good idea.
Is there anyway to make it 5k to people who have paid back 10+ loans or something like that? Almost like a rewards system. I would go back to the max 2k loan, the way it was before.
i acyually agree lower loan shark but i like the idea of a credit rating system the idea is simple if you borrow some points and repay you can borrow more nex time default and you can borrow less and start that basic loan you can ask for down to 500 and as your credit rating increases you can borrow 2000 or maybe even more points.
i woul also like to see some sort of rule against loaning in marketplace the rule being if you borrow in marketplace you have ZERO comeback if it goes wrong

I hate this idea for long term stand up members. I hardly ever put up more than a 4K loanshark request, but I have the means to buy points if I absolutely have to and I enjoy being able to get a decent size loan to help me out for a few days. I suggest some kind of a Tier system based on how long you have been a member or how many positive feedbacks you have from loans. The scumbags are ruining good running options on this site for those of us who are honest and dedicated members. If you drop it down to 1K max there is just going to be a huge increase in market loans and more drama in the chat and site in general.
