Zippy Chippy is a thoroughbred racehorse of prominent pedigree (Northern Dancer, Man o' War) who amassed the legendary record of 100 starts 0-8-12. He came in 2nd 8 times and 3rd 12 times, and occasionally went off at respectable odds by those anticipating he was surely "due" to win his next out. Does this guy look familiar to you? See photo.

Zippy's favorite hand? Pocket 3,3 UTG,that he disaffectionately refers to as “The Asses”, which, held in profile, resembles the derriere of a 3yo Thoroughbred/Ass filly mix in the adjacent south pasture who randomly prods Zippy by bellowing Sinatra's “That's Life”, emphasizing “flat on my face” in the chorus. Zippy claims, like himself, the hand has never won.
