why minimum raise
i can never understand the min raise preflop with 4 players in already!! why only min raise, obviously if they all called 100 they are gonna call another 100!! if u have AA u dont want 4 players in with u (u know your aces will get cracked that way). and if u are raising hoping to get folders, its not gonna happen with min raise!! thoughts all????????

sounds like a value bet...take out the limpers see who if anyone raises or if everyone just flat calls can be a sound play in the right situations and set u up for a nice cash off the flop

I min raise when im deep when BB get to about 1k

when the blinds are huge i can see a min raise!! but always cracks me up when the blinds are under 200!! sorta useless at that point!

min reise with 4 limpers is wrong playits not value its wrong

It's not always wrong. If you have 4 players, and look down at 7-8 suited, you min-raise to build a decent pot without a big investment yourself. You've established the mind-set at the table that you have something but feel weak - you hit, someone might try to push you off the hand and you get some value on that. You don't hit, you can bluff or semi-bluff if everyone else checks the flop.
There are no absolutes like "always wrong" or "always right" in poker.

some people have late position and try and build up the pot preflop with a small pair, or a small suited connector so when they hit.. the pot will have some nice moolah to it, cause of cause the others will call the min raise.

min raise works fine for an open... but if you have a hand like A-K in LP with 3 limpers you are looking for trouble with a min raise. Too much value for the limpers to call imo
