pick up just about any beginner holdem book and most say this ... based on odds

I doubt many beginner hold em books list this chart since it is useful for nothing.

Based on odds? Come on, odds to hit royal flush? To beat any two? To be dominant? If so, I can assure you the chart is pointless.
