Isn't that why they call the game poker? There are always bad beats.

i think calling with kj is a bad play. you dont beat many hands and its too much when u have only 100 dollars. plus you went fishing, so its bad play on yours.

i haven't played any hand more then a half an hour so i played just my blinds when the other players didn't bet pre flop... so i chose that hand against those 2 players because i knew how to play with them, so i call 12 euros preflop to see what happen, of course i check by calling after the minimum because i wanted to see how much i would call or not, so 23 isnt that much because i was think i will just see the turn and nothing more so i have enough to play with 65 euros if i dont hit... anyway nvm if im a donk, but im a donk with profit from the casino for the moment

I have to agree with mike im afraid. he just had better odds than you all the way down. you needed to hit one of like, 5 cards. and thats assuming the other guy had nothing, which i highly doubt. he could have hit any of the other spades, it just happened to he the king.

Try playing a bit tighter in future and you will be able to get a better read off people. If unsure of what to do, don't look for a reason to call or raise, look for a reason to fold. All of the best poker players will tell you that. And yes, i do mean all.

unfortunately hes not listening. He called 23 euros preflop with very marginal KJ, then chased a gutshot (big no no),then thrw all his chips in without the NUTS. The hand played out as it should with best hand winning. You had no business in that pot to begin with , you didnt get bad beated, you almost bad beated A3 but justice was served. If your gonna play a loose calling box then you cant whine when you get beat... You said you knew how these 2 played but obviously you was mistaken as he had a better read on you then you thought.. Pot odds are worthless if you dont have card odds and if you think KJ is a good call there you might wanna go back to basics first!! GL
