cooler or not cooler?
so, i often wonder if its possible to make the big laydowns
example 1
this is in pl omaha high
my hand
77xx
his hand
99xx
flop 752
i bet 3$ he called
(my table image is very loose at this point)
turn 2
i bet 6$ he called
river 9
i bet 12$ he moves all in for 40 more
without his extra 40 the pot has about 40 dollars in it, so im getting about 2 to 1
but the sickest thing is, i knew what he had before i called it, but i still called anyways, i think this was a cooler, because i think he could have had fives full or maybe even 25
example 2
my hand
1010kjsingle suited
his hand aaxx
pre flop
i raise pot
he reraises pot
(i had an idea he had aces)
flop jja
i raised half pot
he goes all in
i call even tho i know im beat
this one might have been my fault, it was just tough
cooler or not?

i think in omaha it would be easier to get away from than in holdem....but once you get so invested its hard to fold either way
-
Trust your gut. If you think you are beat then you probably are.

Omaha has a high variance poker game, my bankroll suffered the most at PLO games.
-
First one standard bull cooler, second pretty clear fold anytime after the flop especially if you have a feeling he has aces and he has done nothing to sway you otherwise
-
yea gotta agree with 2more on this honestly
-
omadraw is not your game pal, see lots of flops but play tight post flop, i pretty much muck it if i dont have the nuts, anything but top set is never good, nothing but the nut flush will do, and if u have a str8 or a flush and the board pairs, just dump it

omaha has too many variables 4 me -

In the first hand I would say even though I don't think he shoves with anything but 9s or quads , your calling every time. In the 2nd hand , it really depends on stack sizes and the guys image , but it looked like you could of got away from it.
